Description I am not that familiar with the Black Bat other than she is Cassandra Cain who used to be Batgirl.  I was testing out Genesis 2 figures and had this nice outfit by joequick so I decided to do a picture with some DAZ backgrounds.  I never could get those elbow pads shaded right

Thanks!  I do like this costume.  Probably better than I liked her old stitched leather Batgirl outfit (that one would be uncomfortable and hard to breathe in).

was it actually leather? I thought the whole Superhero costume thing was more like.. spandex, or a sentai-type suit lol. but yeah, her Black Bat look is less slasher-bat

You may be right about her suit being spandex or something but it always looked like leather to me.  Definitely slasher-bat

yeah, superheroes wear tights and whatnot lol. and yeah the batgirl costume pretty much is that. totally concealing too. but that's also why I prefer her Black Bat look, though she's still my favorite batgirl, and one of my DC favorites either way.

I did enjoy Cassandra as Batgirl.  I never really read much of the Stephanie Brown version and thought it stupid that they made Cassandra a villain for awhile.  Barbara Gordon was better as Oracle but I am enjoying the current Batgirl comic since she got the new costume.

yeah, Cass' run was epic, she was the first Batgirl to get a solo title too. and yeah no one liked that 'suddenly villain' arc. oh? Stephanie was fun, but she was best with Cassandra, those two are my favorite DC duo. oh yeah, I agree on the Oracle part too, she was far more important, powerful and more developed as a character, though I never really liked the whole cripple thing, but meh. ah, you like that Hipster Batgirl thing? I personally don't like it, but hey, we can't agree on everything XD

I did like Stephanie as the Spoiler but not as much as Robin or Batgirl.
Even though I hate hipsters, I do enjoy the fun, upbeat style of the new Batgirl.  I'm pretty sick of all the dystopian doom and gloom of the Nu52 which is probably why I don't really read that many comics anymore.  I guess I still need to try out Gotham Academy (or is it Batman Academy?) at some point.

ahh. I thought Steph was fun as all three, though Robin was kind of odd, at least she looked cute in it lol.
ah, well Gotham is the grit of DC for the most part.. that's pretty much the foundation of that city, but I too quit reading the New 52, but that was because of the writing changes and various character things. I quit about the time the original Birds of Prey line up broke up in the New 52, didn't like the plot developments or where the writing went. haven't read anything New 52 since then, as I see not much has changed. though it was interesting to see that 'League of Batgirls' bit in the whole Future's End arc, Bane-Bat Barbara was just too weird IMO

I would agree that Steph was the cutest Robin
I also agree with your opinions on the Nu52.  I've still been wanting to read Snyder's Batman. I also mean to read the new Harley Quinn but I still don't like her new costume.  I did like WW's redo but I'm not interested in continuing it.  I have nothing against DC rebooting their universe but I think they did a sloppy job and I dislike most of the new costumes.  Oh well, I'll keep watching them and maybe they'll make some more books that I'll like eventually.

yeah.
and lol Nu. ah, yeah I'm not fond of Harley's new look either. yeah most people seem to still dislike the New 52 overall. dunno if I'll go back to reading them at this rate. New 52 that is

I have hope DC will eventually put out more good books.  I'm not beholden to any company.  I just like good stories.  I like Daredevil and Hawkeye even though Marvel seems to be going downhill fast these days.  I love Saga.  I'm even starting to read manga again these days.  But I've always been a DC fan so I just hold out hope they won't kill off or ruin any of my favorite characters like Power Girl (who they've already been ruining and will probably kill off soon).

yeah, I suppose it's possible in the fullness of time, though who knows when it will be. yeah, I've never been big into Marvel, but I've been hearing about how it's been in troubles lately too. and lol, well it is the New 52, they've made a habit of 'ruining' or warping characters into something totally different for a while now, though as the recent arc with Braniac showing the prior New-52 continuity still exists shows, this is just one of probably millions of parallel universe incarnations of the DC we know.. these Superhero settings all have Multiverses now, so they can simply make a single choice on a whim, and everything's different now, kinda like what brought on the New 52 back then lol

I doubt DC will change back to pre New-52 continuity but I'm sure they'll reboot the whole thing again eventually (maybe 25 years down the road).  From my understanding, that Braniac event has taken characters from different time periods and placed them under domes on Battle Planet(?) for years.  Sounds kind of silly to me.  On the other hand, I am liking Multiversity but it's mostly staying away from the NU52 universe.  Like I said, hopefully, DC will start getting some better writers and start turning out better stories.  Of course, I save money if they don't

yeah, agreed on all counts there, but it's pretty safe to say, like you did, that they'll reboot someday, seeing as how Superhero universes work these days lol. but yeah, we can hope for sure. I am curious about seeing some of my pre-52 faves back again, but meh, not a 52'er myself. so yeah.
