Okay, maybe this is Transgender Thor

This picture just popped into my head when I heard about the new female Thor. I am all for more diversity in characters but Thor seems a bad choice. Thor is not a secret identity; that is his name. It makes as much sense as if they decided to change Peter Parker or Steve Rogers into a girl. Now, if they had a woman find Don Blake's cane and become Thor with a female body but Thor's mind, then I might give them some props for something new and different. Or even a woman with Blake's cane becoming Thor with her mind. Of course, from what I have read, unworthy Thor will still be running around while female Thor will have his hammer and powers. Since that has been done (not with a female though) about 2 or 3 times if I remember right, this plotline sounds repetitive
