Character: Coco
Why Coco is part of the Project: INK & COLOR
Actually all the mermaids from Pichi Pichi Pitch are going to be part of this project. Other than their bright colors, I love each and everyone's personalities.
What I love about Coco, despite how little we actually see her compared to the others, is the fact that her kindness and loyalty towards her friends are made clear from the beginning. She cared about Sara to the point she let Gaito capture her until she was able to bring her back. Her loyalty hit me hard as a child, making me want to be like her.
On a funnier note, I also loved her hairstyle. To this day I keep my hair long and straight with a nice, neat fringe.

ABOUT PROJECT INK & COLOR
During the last couple of years, I've had a really rough time. I was diagnosed with severe depression, after months and months of struggling with it without even knowing I had it. Simple tasks such as getting out of bed every day became extremely hard, and I ended up abandoning all my projects and art because I just couldn't do it.
As soon as I got out of high school, I tried to get into an university, but after successfully passing the entrance exam, I completely broke down and was forced to take a year off. I tried to study for another field, one that I loved even more, but when I tried to get into the university a year later, I completely failed because I just wasn't getting better.
Every day is a challenge and all that remains of my old self is this little project.
A little project made of simple drawings with essential tools: ink, colored pencils and the cheapest watercolors. A little project where all the characters that somehow left something in me that I still cherish even after years.
Project INK creates new worlds for me when I need to escape this one.
Project COLOR brightens a dark mind full of dark thoughts.
They make it easier to bear.
