First, I have to say I am astounded by the amount of detail you exhibit in speed drawing. Do you retain that much detail in your mind that you draw from memory or are you using a reference picture to draw from? I'm rather taken that you work in stages and don't draw an overall outline of everything then go back to flesh out details (though you do with an outline of sorts of the main building, but still, it is in stages (how you manage too keep everything in the proper scale and proportion attests to your abilities)). Interesting and impressive at the same time.

Thanks again. This particular work was made from reference (it was a wedding gift for my cousin, he had his ceremony there) but I also draw such things from memory, like here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTcNQz… I'm an architect and during my studies I had lots of possibilities to learn tons of historic details

When you say quick sketch, how much time are we talkin' about? I fly thru lots of my paintings. Some of them take 5 - 10 minutes. On average maybe 20 - 30 minutes. What is it about this SPEED art??? If I slow down I'm not happy with the results. Very nice piece. At first I thought it was Notre Dame a Paris.

I can't specify exactly how long did it take because I didn't count time and I had some pauses during drawing, but I suppose It took about 1,5 - 2 hours, including tower (here is lower part of the church)

I'm guessing it would have taken me a couple of hours work per day for maybe a couple of weeks. You are wonderfully talented. Or gifted. Or studied. Whichever the case might be. Maybe all of the above
