Description The Greater Coat of Arms of the Archduchy of Mimas

Adopted: January 2020

Meaning of CoA Explained:
The Coat of Arms of Mimas depicts a red lion and griffin holding a quartered shield with a smaller shield in its center and a crown atop of it. The symbols in the middle are a diagonal white line on a blue field with a blue star in its middle, a red tower on a crown on a white field (The Red Bastion) and a white moon on a blue field with a golden crown on a red field above it, in the center of the shield. At the very bottom of the arms is the order of Saturn.

The Red Bastion is a symbol for their home among the stars. The crown symbolizes Mima's constitutional monarchy. The stars are also symbols of their heavenly home and an homage to older designs of their flag and coat of arms. The archducal family holds the right to carry celestial crowns and the stars are also a nod to that. The diagonal line connects with the design of the current and original flag. The center shield or "the heart shield" is the oldest coat of arms of the Boskedale dynasty,  the family reigning over Mimas. The red supporters are symbols of royalty (lion) and divine power (griffon). They are red both to connect with the red bastion and because it is one of the colours of the flag of Skåne - the Swedish region in which the terrestrial claim is located. The crown is a Mimasian Archducal hat (crown). It's only used by the Archduke. The Order of Saturn is the highest royal order of Mimas.
