Description
After the Hostage Situation at the Senate building at Coruscant it became scathingly obvious that the Republic diplomats from Republic worlds with need a proper security than the occasional use of the Diplomatic service for escort, and so the Close Protection Unit was quickly formed utilising both Clone Coruscant Guard and Senate Guard Elements.

Though the Diplomatic service would still be used the CPU would be a more Permanent Fixture with it running as a Company wide Operation for a number of Senators with in the Republic, Escorting, protecting and watching over their VIP. The operation would be headed by Senate Guard 0729 Captain Anders Cordova and Clone Lieutenant 1142 aka Garnnt with the pair working closely with each other to ensure the safety of the VIP they would be assigned to; working out positioning, tactics and what to look out for.
