I'm cosplaying as Fetch for MegaCon next week!Β Got any tips for the patterns on the jacket? I've never painted fabric before so I want to get it as close to perfect as possible >.<

Hi! I used acrylic paint mixed with a fabric/textile medium! The textile medium makes the acrylic paint work like fabric paint, so its not as stiff and won't crack like normal acrylic paint will. You can get it basically anywhere that has normal paint - like JoAnns or Michaels and other craft stores.
If you want some reference photos, all the photos I collected to use as a reference to paint my own jacket are linked to in the description of this picture.
My only real 'tip' is to do it in layers. I did the pink/purple first, and did a couple layers to get a more even color, but it definitely doesn't have to be perfect. Then I did a dark green outline around the pink, which is more smudgey and messy, then with some brown paint I kinda smeared it randomly on the jacket to make it look dirty.

Thaaaaanks ^o^ That was super helpful. I got some paint and stuff at Michaels yesterday. They didn't have enough glow-in-the-dark pink fabric paint since that seemed like a fun touch when it got dark. It was too bright a color anyway. I shall definitely post pictures of the finished product before the con and credit you for the advice. You rock, hun. Thanks again!

Thaaanks ^^ Oh one last thing. I was thinking of making a stencil so the edges stay sharp buuuuut I don't have the resources to get the tools for it ._. How'd you get your painted edges so sleek?

I just used a small flat-edged brush for the edges! and then painted in the middle with a bigger brush.
It might help to remember that it looks likeΒ she graffiti'd / painted it herself so its ok if its not perfect!

I don't remember, unfortunately! I got this wig a couple years ago. But the wig I got was super long and not in a bun - I styled it myself, so it didn't really look anything like this.

Awesome references don't exist bUT I went through all of the cutscenes in the game and took pictures so you should be able to piece it together with these! Good luck!
