Description This little piece is my first attempt at gouache. This was one of those pieces that grew and evolved until it wasn't really the piece I started out to do. Those are always lovely.

Thank you! I want to continue improving with gouache. The medium has such beautiful potential.

It's Gouache!
I did not know that... they say it's really hard using Gouache is that true?

I had a lot of difficulty with it. For one thing, I bought really cheap gouache, because I didn't have extra funds at the time. I'm sure if I'd bought some of a little better quality it would be a little better. I think I have a little more control over it than I do with watercolor. It's also more opaque than watercolor. It has a certain richness to it that I really like. I find it difficult to get the details I like, but it is possible. I think if I work on pictures that are a little looser it will work out well.
