Description
A family of Variraptors rest on a lake shore, as the portion of prehistoric France's residents come for a drink or meal.Creatures:
Variraptor:
A 6.5 foot long predator. It is possibly a dromeosaurid, but it has been debated whether it's actually a Coelurosaur.
Rhabdodon:
A basal member of Iguanodontia, this 13 foot long herbivore was a common site in the forests of Europe.
Acrovenator:
One of the lesser known Abelisaurids, Acrovenator was a medium sized predator, at about 20
feet long.
Pterosaur
Enantiornithine:
A group of clawed and toothed prehistoric birds.
Musturzabalsuchus:
A large member of Alligatoroidae.
Dragonflies
This scene takes place 73 million years ago, in France.

Aww. What an adorable family. Really nice dude, it definitely does have a "slow day" feel to it; such a calming scene indeed. I know there's plenty of pictures of raptors being portrayed as more than blood-thirty killers, but still, nice to see them like this; just resting without a care in the world unless you’re the little falling baby lol.
Little quickie, did all these animals in the picture live together during the cretaceous? Not really important, I just would like to know.
Also how large was Musturzabalsuchus? Just wondering.

Yup, I do a crap ton of research for my pieces, I love accuracy. And I don't care for those vicious pics. Sure I don't mind a few, but there are too many.
I don't quite recall how big it was, try looking it up. There was little information on this crocodilian, so it may be tough. They all live together.

Nice to hear. Accuracy in paleoart is always great. And I agree; I personally don't think the violent/gory pieces are bad, per say, its just there's...y'know, like you said, too much of it, I guess.
