I really wanted to correct this for two reasons...One, it's chibi! And two, the artist comment!

I thought I'd be really helpful if I answered both problems~ The correction and the fact her Sai trial is ending soon!

Answer to the Sai trial: I really shouldn't be saying this, but there are Sai cracks on the internet! Darknataku, if you want, I could send you my copy of Sai, which isn't a trial, it's the full software!

Onto the correction already ;;

First off, even though chibi completely destroy the law of anatomy and proportion, they do have an anatomy. Little arms and legs and spines and all that! So even if they're bundled up behind an object, it's useful to draw out a small skeleton so you know you're placing said object, in this case the blanket, around the chibi properly.

Another point to mention is, no matter where you see it, chibi are usually very rounded and cutesy, but this can be a matter of style. Angular chibis don't have the same soft-to-the-viewer effect though ;;;

Also, mentioning how sick you are, I thought a slightly sadder expression would suit the pain of a fever ;; Upturned eyebrows and a triangular mouth are the most common ways of expressing sadness, but that's completely optional.

The only other thing I want to comment on is the 'box and circular object' I wrote about on the correction, it really is easiest to draw a 3d version of it! In the case of the tissue box, two rectangles on top of each other, and then connect the lines- a perfect rectangular prism!

The layer and opacity tools are probably your bestest friend when doing this!
