Personality:
Spencer is an awkward, but sweet guy. His best friend (and so far only friend) is Pyro. In the past he has avoided social contact with anyone other than Pyro due to fear that his nervousness will create embarrassing moments for him.

Despite this, he is actually a really good people person when he actually does end up in (albeit small) social situations. He is not rude, and is considerate of other people. He easily embarrasses however, shown through his near-constant blush. When his nervousness grows, so does his awkwardness and clumsiness.

History:
Spencer was always seen as the odd child in his family. His parents were the social types, and expected Spencer to be as well. He showed no signs of even wanting to conform in his parents' wishes; instead, he hid in his room, tinkering with building toys.

He would design surprisingly intricate designs, designs to entertain him and keep him company as he hid away from the other children. His parents started to show concern that the young boy avoided people as much as he could, clinging to his parents as the only ones he knew.

His parents quickly gave up, seemingly not wanting to bother with Spencer's social issues, and in a last ditch effort, offered the chance for him to get his own pet, in compensation for the lack of interaction he had with his peers. This caught young Spencer's attention, and within a week, had his very own Growlithe, Pyro.

The two bonded almost instantaneously, and built upon one another. Pyro filled in the gaps that his parents and friends would have filled. Within a year, she started learning fire-based attacks; with Pyro by his side, Spencer now had the fire required to start up his interest in welding and various other creative interests. His parents, not particularly interested in whatever he did, took the opportunity to spend less and less time at home.

Once turning 18, Spencer's parents warned him that he only had one year left before leaving the house, and allowed him to choose any area outside of Hoenn. With this, Spencer researched for ideal places to put his, and Pyro's, abilities to use. He soon came across a modest, simple town with rich resources and mines nearby: Raccolto Town.

At 19, Spencer was off to his new home alongside Pyro. Would this tranquil environment give him that extra nudge to socialize of his own accord, outside of mere necessity?

Talents:
- Welding, creative metal bending, and other such requirements for his job
- Can see in the dark (only when his goggles are on)
- He can use chopsticks without having to take off his working gloves
- Can climb on walls and ceilings with ease (but would much rather not)

- Rock Smash: Like Spencer's Dig, Rock Smash helps with mining and landscaping

Fun Facts:
- Spencer sometimes talks to plants, animals and inanimate objects. If caught, he is quick to deny it.
- He eats cup ramen during his breaks, every day
- His left hand has a burn scar, from when Pyro was learning Ember and had difficulty controlling it
- He rarely takes off his gloves for three reasons: he has relatively sensitive hands, to hide the scar on his left hand, and because his work requires it
- He is ambidextrous
- His goggles are the result of his first few experiments working with glass. He liked the goggles enough to keep them, but found he wasn't too fond of glass working or glass blowing.
- It's a mystery how the goggles assist in the dark
- The diamond on his denim apron is actually a pouch that can be velcroed shut.
- Even though he spends a good amount of time in the mines for materials, he is deathly afraid of bat-like pokemon and will either run away, or become paralyzed in fear.
- He spends endless hours on Sudoku puzzles
- He permanently lost a tooth from biting down on a metal alloy to test it's authenticity. He no longer does this.
- Pyro doesn't want to evolve
