Autumn, cool weather, drinking hot apple cider or hot chocolate by their fireplace in her comfy easy chair.

Backstory: Ruth was born and raised in Trottingham. She went to school to be a teacher. She loves sewing, baking and cooking so much she got a job at the only school in her small town. She met her husband Earl at a Hearth Warming Eve party that a friend of theirs was throwing. Not to long after they got married she got pregnant with their older daughter Sadie.

Earl liked to drink his hard apple cider's a lot and when he was drunk he was a mean drunk. He was verbally abusive, calling Ruth all kind of horrible names, he would also say mean things to Sadie.

After Ruth gave birth to their son Chucky, Earl was fired from his job as a Cab pony. Earl was a bully and be abusive to his passengers and to other cab ponies. Earl once even tried to run over some pedestrians that were standing on the side walk. So his boss fired him.

So after he lost his job Earls drinking and abuse got even worse. The beatings started with Ruth getting slapped around a lot and hit a lot. He started yelling and swearing at the kids. Once Earl started hitting the kids. Ruth knew it was time to get out of their.

After 14 years of abuse. When Earl was passed out drunk Ruth gathered up as much of their belongs as she could, grabbed her kids at left Trottingham. At the time Ruth was 7 months pregnant with the twins.

Ruth and her kids have now been living in Ponyville for the past five years in a little cottage on a nice piece of property that's on the outskirts of Ponyville.
