An updated pic of my character Selene Speckman. The last time I drew her was in 2011....midnight21.deviantart.com/art/…
I hated the 2009-2011 versions of Selene so I decided to forget those ideas altogether and decided to recycle some old ideas from my 2008 piece, which had been my favorite drawing of her...

Eventually those ideas evolved into my current version of her and for once, I am very happy with how this character turned out. I'm also happy with the new profile I'm working on and I've been using old ideas for that as well and developed them further. It took a lot of work and effort, but she is now the Selene I remember and love and I couldn't be happier with the result.

The fabric turned out gorgeous, and I think you did an amazing job on the overall color composition- she really looks like she fits into her environment.

Then there's that sins of the past piece... i don't know if I want to finish that one or not but i drew another one- a preggo piece of Dahl which is on hold for now. my paint shop pro program busted thanks to malewarebytes so i have to sit tight for a bit until it gets fixed.

I made Selene peaceful in this piece because I had successfully redeveloped this character back to her old roots with new ideas to make it all work. I feel very content with these new changes and I wanted her to reflect that...

I was thinking of Castlevania when I saw the title *chuckles*. Aside from that though, she looks lovely hon: glad you finished her off eventually as she was driving you nuts hehe

You should try colouring on a Mac where the colours just tend to be very intense so you do this thing that you think looks pretty alright and everyone tells you "can't see anything, too dark" XD (fortunately in my case I do most of the colouring on the CCH and check on the iMac screen so we end up with a reasonable balance...I hope
