Description
I've been trying to develop my own teams if I was the Gym Leader of every type, and my Ghost Type Gym team is up next! This is the design of if I was a Ghost Type Gym Leader. I wanted to design myself to resemble a ghost, causing a bit of confusion with people if I'm a living person or an actual ghost. After looking up a bunch of references for ghost girls, I decided to give myself a simple while dress and shawl that have been torn and accented the outfit with aqua ribbons. To complete the look, I often carry around a Lampent-styled lantern as I honestly do love lanterns and think they really add to the whole ghost aesthetic. It's pretty simple yet effective to create the spooky appearance I wanted for myself as a Ghost Type Gym Leader.

For the Gym itself, it would be set in a haunted house or mansion. The puzzle to reach me would be that you have to track down a certain Ghost Pokémon hiding among shadows. If you're not careful, however, you may accidentally approach a Gym Trainer or trigger a trap that will spook you. If you come across a Gym Trainer, you'll have to battle them. If you manage to track down the Ghost Pokémon lurking in the shadows, it will eventually lead you to me in a hidden room. I wanted something similar to the deadly game of hide and seek you play with Donna Beneviento and her doll Angie from Resident Evil: Village. I cannot resist that creepy atmosphere that scenario creates and think it would be a perfect kind of puzzle challengers must face for a Ghost Type Gym. But don't worry! No killer dolls will actually try to harm you! At worst, you'll get jumpscared or challenged by a Gym Trainer, so don't worry! This would be the 8th Gym you face and defeating me would grant you the Haunt Badge as well as the TM Shadow Ball.

As you can see, Banette would be my ace AND Mega. As this is the 8th Gym battle, I think it's a safe point to have Mega Evolution as part of the Gym battle as you are far more likely to have one of your own by this point and this is meant to be the most challenging Gym battle you've faced on your journey to collect all 8 Gym badges. I really do love Banette. I've always loved dolls, and haunted dolls are certainly no exception. So long as the ghost possessing the doll isn't malicious, at least. With Banette, I feel like I could give this cursed abandoned doll the love it seeks. Banette would also most likely be the Ghost Pokémon you have to track down in order to find me as it hides throughout the Gym. Mimikyu also reflects my love of haunted dolls. Mimikyu also just so happens to be one of my all time favorite Pokémon, so I could not say no to having it on my team! I really love Mismagius and its witchy aesthetic. It's such a cool yet adorable Pokémon and the evolution of one of my favorite Ghost Pokémon! Ceruledge is one of the newest Pokémon we've been given, but it's quickly become a favorite of mine. I could not say no to the ghost knight with blazing blades! That's so my style! Finally is Spiritomb, quite the power Pokémon if you don't have any Fairy Types with you. Spiritomb will most likely be the one behind all the jumpscares you encounter and will try to trick you as you try follow Banette around the Gym, so be careful!

When you challenge me for a rematch, I'll have a full team of six with one more Ghost Pokémon added to the team who will provide you will a challenge. Without further ado, here's my rematch team:

Not any too major changes to my team in for my rematch as my team only becomes a few levels higher, though I do add one more Pokémon to my team. Don't ask me how, but I add a Hisuian Zoroark to my team who will take the guise of one of my other Pokémon when first sent out. It won't be until you manage to land a hit on my Hisuian Zoroark that you'll finally realize the trouble you're in. Ghost Type moves won't have any effect on my Hisuian Zoroark, so if you try to strike it with a Ghost Type move that would normally be super effective against other Ghost Type Pokémon you'll be in for quite the surprise. You'll have to think on your feet to beat my Ghost Type Gym team at its full power!
