Description
This is a redesign of my initial design for Morgana Macawber in a possible Darkwing Duck reboot. Here is my original design for her in a reboot: Morgana Macawber Reboot Design . The biggest change to her design is that I decided to make her a raven instead of a duck. I thought making her a raven would suit her gothic aesthetic better. She wouldn't be the first character from a reboot of this universe to have her entire species changed to another or gone through some massive design change for the better. I just think a raven would suit Morgana better.

As for her role in this possible Darkwing Duck reboot, not much has changed from what I originally thought up for her from my original design. Morgana would run a magic shop that Drake Mallard and Gosalyn frequently visit. Drake likes to go there to repair his gadgets and get inspiration for them. Gosalyn, however, I've decided would already be well acquainted with Morgana prior to meeting Drake. I thought it'd be cool if Gosalyn was a frequent costumer to Morgana's magic shop as she loved the gadgets and kits for pranks in stock in the shop, maybe even frequenting the shop with her grandfather before his disappearance. So, in the end, Gosalyn is the one who would actually introduce Drake to Morgana. Morgana very much appreciates Drake for taking Gosalyn in as she does worry about her, but is happy to see her in such good care. Of course, like in the original series, Drake is immediately smitten with the gothic beauty and turns into a total dork whenever around her which she luckily finds very charming. She'd have a very good relationship with Drake and Gosalyn right from the start, serving a bit like a mentor to Gosalyn and support for Drake as he tries his best to take care of Gosalyn with clear hints that the two are attracted to each other.

When she's not running her magic shop or spending time with Drake and Gosalyn, Morgana dons her secret identity as a magical supervillain. Like in the original, she comes from a monstrous family, but I would change things up so that she was the only one in her family who was born without magical abilities, making her the only "normal" one in her family which greatly upsets her. At some point in her past, she encountered a demon named Nodoff who rules over the Dream World and sells her soul to him for magic. This sadly turns her evil and makes her a servant to Nodoff, forcing her to do his bidding in his grand plan of gaining influence in the real world beyond his realm. I remember the massive impact Nodoff had on Morgana's redemption story even though he only appeared in one episode, so I decided to make him a greater force of evil in the reboot as the one who gave Morgana her magical powers and turned her evil. She uses her magic to commit crimes with her spider and bat familiars as her partners in crime under Nodoff's influence. She becomes one of the most fearsome enemies of Darkwing Duck. Morgana is especially annoyed whenever Darkwing Duck gets in the way of her plans, though over time starts to develop a softer side for him as they get to know each other more. It becomes quite the shock for her when she does eventually discover that Darkwing Duck is, in fact, Drake Mallard. Luckily, with Darkwing Duck's help, Morgana is able to regain her soul and put an end to Nodoff's evil schemes when she realizes that she doesn't want to be evil and be with Drake and be there for Gosalyn.

With Nodoff's defeat, Morgana does lose her powers but would later awaken to her true power when she desperately tries to save Darkwing Duck. She isn't nearly as powerful or skilled her with new magic, allowing that running gag from the original series when Morgana's magic often backfires and puts Darkwing Duck in a sticky situation (sometimes literally), but proves herself to be of great help and does eventually master her new magic. Morgana officially becomes one of the good guys and begins a serious relationship with Drake and becomes the mother-figure Gosalyn needs in her life. Not sure if the reboot would go far enough for Morgana and Drake to get married, but I would absolutely love it if we get to see the two get married after everything they go through and become the family they were meant to be. Maybe Drake even helps Morgana rekindle with her family after she distanced herself from them after making that deal with Nodoff and helps her understand that her family loves her no matter what. I think that'd be really sweet!
