So, it seems likes tier lists are really popular right now. I usually don't jump on mainstream wagons, but this looked like a lot of fun so I thought I'd give it a try. So, here's my tier list of all the Pokemon Starters (so far)!F Tier:
Feraligatr - Sorry, but I REALLY don't like any of the Pokemon from this evolution line. That includes Totodile. This Pokemon just terrifies me for personal reasons! It'scthe one Starter that I actually hate. Sorry!
Incineroar - It's a wrestler. Don't you dare try to confuse me with that Dark-Typing, Nintendo! I see through your trickery! Why'd you have to ruin my initial first choice as my Alola Starters by turning its final evolution into freaking wrestler?!
Emboar - Not a fan of the big, macho pig look. Besides after Infernape, the Fire/Fighting-Type Starter thing just got ridiculous and annoying. I like Tepig, but I really can't love it anymore once it evolves . . .
D Tier:
Torterra - I don't really hate this Pokemon, but it is my second least favorite Starter lines. The only thing keeping it off the F tier list is the lore behind its final evolution. I do like its final evolution. Good for you, Torterra!
Samurott - I do like this Pokemon's evolution line, but I'm not a fan of Samurott. Not really a fan of the facial hair or know why it suddenly went on all fours when it was on two legs before throughout its evolution line. I just don't get it . . .
Serperior - I do like this Pokemon, but I really, really, REALLY HATE snakes! If I didn't like Serperior and its evolution line so much, it'd be in the F tier.
C Tier:
Sceptile - I was pleasantly surprised by how good this Pokemon was when I chose it as my Starter in one of my playthroughs of Ruby. It was a lot of fun to use! However, I admit, I much prefer Grovyle which is why it's only in C tier.
Swampert - I much prefer its pre-evolutions, but I do still like Swampert. I'm just not the biggest fan of "buff" Pokemon.
B Tier:
Blastoise - Like Swampert, I do prefer Blastoise's pre-evolutions more than Blastoise itself. Still, I do really love Blastoise and think it'd be a lot of fun ride around on its back in the water! Also, if I ever find myself in a water gun fight, I'd so want Blastoise on my team! We'd win every time!
Venusaur - Venusaur actually used to be one of my most hated Pokemon of all time simply because I found it to be scary when I was little. However, as I got older, I grew to really love it and find it to be quite adorable! Also, has anyone seen its walk animation in Let's Go?! IT'S A FROG!!! LOL!!!
Greninja - I know I'm gonna get hate for this, but Greninja is my least favorite of the Kalos Starters (PLEASE DON'T HURT ME!!!). I just happen to prefer the other Starters more. As cool as ninjas are, I just like warriors and witches more. Still, Greninja is super cool. My only issue with this Pokemon is its long tongue. Really don't want that tongue anywhere near me. Yuck!
Empoleon - The fanciest of all the Starters! It takes the term "penguin suit" to a whole new level! I really love this Pokemon but can't say that I'd use it over its pre-evolutions. Fun fact: My very first Sinnoh Starter Piplup was my very first Pokemon to hit level 100 (yes, I kept her a Piplup the whole time)!
Grookey - I don't hate this Pokemon by any means, but it is my least favorite of the Galar Starters. Sorry, Team Grookey! Maybe my opinion of it will change once we get more information on it and its evolution line? Hopefully it'll be for the better. Still, my reaction to Grookey was priceless! I squealed so much and couldn't help cheering "CUTIE LITTLE GRASS MONKEY" the moment I laid my eyes on it! Hopefully I'll be just as happy with its evolution line.
A Tier:
Typhlosion - I love Typhlosion! It is so cool! It looks so cuddly and cute yet cool at the same time! It's so awesome! I'd love to ride around on its back like Gold from the Adventures manga! Also . . . THIS FACE!!!
Decidueye - IT'S ROBIN HOOD AS A GHOST OWL!!! THAT IS FREAKING AWESOME!!!
Infernape - I love Infernape! It was part of the Fire/Fighting-Type Starters back when it was still cool! And it's based on Sun Wu Kong! If you guys don't know who that is, please check it out! I highly recommend this video for details about the great Monkey King : www.youtube.com/watch?v=61nuXr…
Sobble - TEAM SOBBLE!!! I really hope that rumors about it being made on theater are true because I think that is absolutely amazing! I sympathize with Sobble so much! It is such a kawaii crybaby who I just wanna love and comfort forever! I honestly wish I could disappear like Sobble can. Sobble, I love you so much!
Scorbunny - IT'S A FIRE BUNNY!!! I'VE BEEN DYING FOR A FIRE BUNNY FOR SO LONG!!! I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!! Don't you dare make it a Fire/Fighting-Type or give it the design of one, Nintendo!
Delphox - Despite how much hate Delphox gets for its design, I do actually like it. I don't like it as much as I used to, but I do still like it. Please stop hating on Delphox. It's design really isn't that bad and it deserves more love. Although, I won't lie, I do prefer Fennekin and Braixen much more. I still love you, Delphox!
S Tier:
Meganium - I adore Meganium and its entire Evolution line! It's one of if not my favorite Starter of all time! It's so adorable and sweet! I can't think of a single thing to even dislike about this Pokemon!
Primarina - Mermaids! I love mermaids! I'm so happy that we got to have a mermaid-inspired Starter! I love Primarina! It's so pretty! It is just as powerful as it is beautiful!
Blaziken - My very first Starter! How could I not put Blaziken in my S tier?! I have so much nostalgia and love for Blaziken! It literally took me an hour during my first playthrough of Ruby until I finally went to my brother to help me choose my Starter and he suggested that I choose Torchic like he did. I followed in my brother's footsteps in my Pokemon journey when he gave me his copy of Ruby after he got Emerald and have now surpassed my brother as a Trainer! Blaziken will always have a special place in my heart for getting me officially started on my Pokemon journey!
Chesnaught - I actually used to dislike this Pokemon and its evolution line. However, I grew to really love it over time! I now see Chesnaught as a great protector and noble warrior who will always fight and defend its friends from any harm! I can't help but fantasize that I am a princess being protected by a great knight whenever I think of what it'd be like if I used Chesnaught on my team! My love for Chesnaught grew even stronger thanks to Charity from my PMD - Team Seekers comic! She'll make a great Chesnaught someday!
Charizard - I know, I know. "Charizard is overrated!" Believe me, I've heard it all about loving Charizard. But I honestly do love Charizard. I mean, it's a fire dragon! What's not to love?! I really love dragons and think it'd be amazing to ride on Charizard's back and watch it breathe fire! I love you, Charizard!

I do have to agree with your opinion of Incineroar looking more like a fighting-type. But I actually found a version of Incineroar where not only it actually looks more like a Fire-Dark type, but also stayed on all fours i.imgur.com/XSvT3tn.png

I REALLY don't want that! I don't want another Fire/Fighting-Type Starter or have another Starter who looks like it should be a Fighting-Type but isn't like Incenaroar! That was awful! Totally ruined a possibly awesome evolution line!

Same here holding my breath that they give us something new and not make it a fighting type, but I'm not keeping my hope up either, I mean there are so many other types that it could be used.

Honestly, I would have loved a fire bunny based on the legend of the Moon Rabbit. I actually posted my design for one literally the day before Sword and Shield's reveal!
If you're unfamiliar with the story and curious as to why I think the Moon Rabbit would be perfect inspiration for a Fire-Type bunny Starter, here's a summary of the story: Long ago, a group of animals decided to spend the day practicing kindness. That day, a starving travel crossed their paths and made a fire but had no food to eat. The animals began to gather food for the travel such as a monkey gathering fruit, an otter catching fish, and a fox stealing food from someone else to give to the man. The rabbit, however, could not gather food for the traveler as all they could do was gather grass. So, the rabbit threw its body into the man's fire to offer itself as food for the traveler. However, the rabbit did not burn. It was then that the man revealed himself to be a deity and, touched by the rabbit's kindness, drew the rabbit's shadow onto the surface of the moon. That way everyone would know of the rabbit's kindness and the brave sacrifice even the tiniest and meekest of creatures were capable of making.
Inspired by this story, I designed an evolution line that reflected the story of the Moon Rabbit. The first evolution would be quite meek and friendly, just like the rabbit in the beginning of the story. It's second evolution would be bold and determined, reflecting the rabbit's determination to help the traveler even at the cost of its own life. It's final evolution would be majestic and poise, representing the celestial reward for its kindness and courage. By its third evolution, it would gain the Fairy-Type. I really love the idea of a Fire/Fairy-Type!

Now that sounds like a cool and badass for the Pokemon and a fitting type to Fire/Fairy-Type which I hope that they will go for in the game and not fighting.
But yeah I give it a 10/10 because it's new and not something that's been tone over a dozen times.

Thank you! The story is actually pretty popular, especially in Japan. So, I'm a bit surprised that Pokemon didn't take advantage of it. If we end up getting another stupid Fire/Fighting-Type Starter when we could have had this, I will be VERY upset. I mean, if they love the Fire/Fighting-Typing so much, then stop turning ruining the Fire Starters and finally give it to a non-Starter Pokemon! There has literally never been a non-Fire/Fighting-Type Starter which is insane since we've already had so many of this Type or look like they should be this Type! I mean, we've had non-Starter Pokemon with the same Typing as Starter Pokemon before, so why not with this overused Starter Typing?
Sorry for the ranting. I just really don't want a Fire Starter who looks like or has the Fire/Fighting-Type when we could such an amazing new Pokemon of Fire/Fairy-Type. It's gotten pretty annoying by now.

Delphox would have been higher had it not been for all the hate I saw for it that ended up warping my opinion of it. My opinion on Delphox's design improved once more when I started drawing Delphox myself and found that it was actually very hard for me to make the "ugly" Delphox everyone else kept seeing. It's really not as ugly as everyone makes it out to be.

I never saw Delphox as the "ugly" Pokemon everyone made it out to be. I loved Wizard (my male Delphox in my playthrough of X) so much. And while I think there are a number of different paths they could've taken with Fennekin, I think Delphox is just fine.

I'm just saying that the favoritism surrounding Greninja is so big and overrated that I personally think that it's part of the reason that Delphox gets as much hate as it does.

Ah, I see. It is annoying when one Pokemon gets so much love that everyone practically force you to focus solely on that Pokemon and not let you give any love to other Pokemon even if you really love the other Pokemon but have a disliking for the favorite Pokemon for whatever reason.

Which is just one of the many reasons why Greninja has become my absolute least favorite Pokemon.

I don't really think it's fair to hate on a Pokemon simply because it's popular. One's opinion of Pokemon shouldn't be because of a popularity contest. I much prefer to look at Pokemon from my own opinion without the influence of others. Otherwise it's no fun and may not be your true feelings for a Pokemon at all. I mean, I have Charizard in my S tier not because it's popular or something. I just happen to really like Charizard because it's a fire-breathing dragon you can literally start your journey with and thought it had a great personality in the anime. That's my opinion of Charizard base solely on my personal feelings toward it and not because what others think about it.

I didn't used to hate Greninja. I was pretty indifferent at first. But the entire run of Gen 6 just made me hate it.
I hate that Ash got a special one for no reason (like are you seriously trying to pass off that Greninja has a more powerful bond with Ash then Pikachu? No. Just no.).
I hate that it won the most popular Pokemon poll despite so many other Pokemon having been around a lot longer.
I hate that I saw them everywhere in VGC for several years.
And, as I said before, I hate how it makes people hate Delphox and Chesnaught, who in my opinion have better designs.
All the favouritism it gets from fans and even the Pokemon Company has made it worse then Charizard to me. I mean Charizard been so hyped and overrated to the point that it's not even fun to joke about it anymore. The thing got 2 freaking Mega Evolutions. Two! No Pokemon in the world needs two! And the in story reason for it having two? Because. Annoyed the heck out of me. Even Charizard fans can't deny that Charizard gets completely unfair treatment over Venusaur and Blastoise. But Greninja took that favoritism status to a whole new level. At the very least we didn't need to be reminded of Charizard's two forms in the anime. But after Greninja evolved and got the new form, dear Arceus nearly every single episode it appeared in focused on how different and special and wonderful it was. And that ridiculousness drove me insane. Greninja just really rubs me the wrong way and in all honesty, I was glad to see him go.

Yikes! You REALLY don't like Greninja! Well, I can certainly see your point. But, all the favoritism aside, I still think it's a pretty good Pokemon. I do wish the other Starters got as much love from the Pokemon Company. It would have been nice to see them get a special form, too. Preferably if all the Kalos Starters got Mega Evolutions instead of Greninja getting that one special form. I find it quite odd that none of the Kalos Pokemon got a Mega Evolution with the exception of Diance. I would have loved to see Mega Evolutions for more Kalos Pokemon.

Yes I don't like Greninja. And I think just across the board the Pokemon Company needs to work on not promoting one over the other two so much. I mean it always happens. Charizard and Greninja are extreme examples of course, but it happens subtly in the other trios too. Typhlosion, Swampert, Empoleon, Serperior, and Incinaroar I feel like have all gotten more love from the Pokemon Company then their counterparts and I just don't think it's fair.
