With Poipole and Roserade and reordering it with the 2nd 3rd and 4th pokemons of your list, it would be my top 5 poison pokemons. I mean, I can understand the fact that you don't like snakes, but I love them. Usually insect or reptile based pokemons tend to be some of my favourites
My top would be something like this:
1 Poipole: A pokemon that mimics humans to learn about emotions. That's kinda cool, and also adorable.
2 Drapion: Edgy design that looks like a scorpion but huge. It may be scary just to think about it, but, also kinda cool.
3 Roserade: Elegant and powerful. This pokemon sounds like the perfect embodiment of the phrase "Even the most beautiful rose has its thorns"
4 Scolipede: Again, a design that looks really like an insect. Those are always a design that captivates me because it's like they are so complex and designed in a perfect way for their role in the real life, that it's just seeing their pokemon counterpart and I can't help but like them. Also, this guy really helped me during pokemon White (which is my favourite main pokemon game of all times, partly because of N, and the other part because of the fact that it has some of the best pokemon designs in my oppinion and many have hidden references, like the three monkeys being blind (panpour), deaf (pansear) and mute (pansage) each one of them, in reference of four monkeys from the taoism, which is kinda cool)
5 Arbok: First of all, the name is just Cobra spelled backwards, and, even though it's kinda silly, I actually had a good laugh when I finally realized. Also that pokemon was my first poison type. I mean, I captured a lot of poison pokemons, but the first one I had on my team was Arbok, in pokemon Soulsilver (which I lost surprisingly, a little bit after I got lost in the whirl islands) and she was a pokemon that really helped me during the ammount of time my journey in there, specially in battles where I thought everything was lost thanks to her intimidate (she saved my ass in the dragon type gym, which was specially hard since I didn't had any ice type pokemon or any dragon pokemon)
(Also, why do you dislike Drapion? I mean, just curious, not criticizing at all. Is just that I would like to know the reasons of why some pokemons on the list, as in tops I usually wonder the reason for the choice of orders and all that.)

So, are these your favorite Poison-Types? If so, the only two I can agree with on that list of yours are Poipole (although I wouldn't have it as high on my list) and Roserade. As for why I dislike Drapion, it's because it's a scorpion and scorpions scare the living daylights out of me. Let alone a GIANT one that can crush me in its claws or just stab me through the heart with its tail! No! Just no!

I guess when it comes to this things, I'm a little bit reckless, because when I think about it, I imagine it like me taking care of a little skorupi (which is still poisonous, but I think I would use some protections to avoid getting poisoned, I don't think of me as THAT reckless), and when they evolved into a Drapion, having a bond that makes them not kill me in the same instant they evolve. But, I can understand also your point, I mean, a giant scorpion could be definitely deadly, so, your way of seeing it is actually far more understandable than mine I guess. But I don't know, I imagine that giant taking me with it's tail that looks quite like a claw more than a sting (so I don't think that the stabbing is actually possible in that sittuation) to get me closer to their face and then hugging me (being careful not to hurt, as that big fella must be really strong, and I know several people that got hurt due to a big hug and one of them had to take painkillers because due to the hug, since they got several rib bones broken, so, yeah, not that strong) and I must admit I think that would be cute. It may be kinda weird, but I love the idea of giving hugs to pokemons that seem to not be that appreciated, like it happens me with Darkrai too, because it must be sad to feel lonely and not having a friend to give you a hug, that's usually what comes to my mind in those cases

Yeah, I wouldn't even mind the nightmares if it was to make him feel better.

There is actually evidence that Darkrai might actually be able to control what kind of nightmares it gives someone, so it wouldn't have to be too bad bad of a dream. Heck, there's even evidence that, when in a relaxed state, it won't give you any nightmares at all!

Oh, I always thought he was a pokemon that just his own presence would cause the nightmares and due to that he went to a place where no one could be affected by his nightmares, at least that's what I thought due to the fact that in his event in pokemon platinum, at least in the spanish version, it said that "even though it was not what he wanted, he caused terrible nightmares to people and pokemon around him... THat's why you came here (newmoon island) where there's no one except you. No one you can drag to your nightmares, and if someone was to fall into one of them, fullmoon island is close."THat's why I thought he had no real control over the nightmares, and was more like a power that affected everyone near him no matter what, as those words seem to say that he exiled himself in order to protect everyone from him.

I recommend you check out the Darkrai movie then. Not trying to spoil if you haven't seen it yet, but there are two nightmares caused by Darkrai in the movie (one we never actually see) that warn characters about upcoming dangers. This hints that Darkrai is able to give people premonitions through nightmares and thus hints that it can control what kind of nightmares it gives people. In another scene in the movie, we see a little girl in a garden playing a song on a leaf whistle while surrounded by sleeping Pokemon. Hidden in the shadows of a large tree everyone was resting under, Darkrai was also there after the little girl helped him and befriended him. The sleeping Pokemon were in a relaxed state and weren't suffering from any nightmares at all despite Darkrai resting beside them. This hints that, when in a relaxed state and by a friend, he does not cause nightmares when near someone who is sleeping. My theory is that Darkrai are normally on guard and in a defensive state which causes nightmares for anyone sleeping nearby, but if they are near someone they trust and feel relaxed enough they do not cause nightmares. That's just my theory, but I do find it interesting how those scenes in its debut movie seem to speak volumes of Darkrai's powers without having to say anything at all.

Well, I have seen the movie, and even though that was something I noticed, pokemon movies sometimes contradict the games, and in those sittuations, I tend to take the movies as the false information because the movies are the ones that sometimes contradict themselves, like when Mewtwo wasn't able to remember ash, and Ash didn't remind him at the genesect movie, which was something that bugged me. I mean, your theory actually could make sense if we were seeing only the movie, but there seem to be contradicting information in all the media that adresses this topic. The movie seems to give that sense, but if we look to Darkrai's ability, it's clear that it affects everyone no matter that they are friends with him, as in the double battles, if you use rest or something like that, his bad dream ability would affect even the ones that are on his side. ANd the pokedex seems to be on some games talking about the fact that he defends himself by causing nightmares to everyone around, but other games say that he makes people sleep during the new moon nights and causes them terrible nightmares, which wouldn't be defending himself at all. I think he does put people to sleep to protect himself, and the nightmares are a side effect (based on his ability), but like you said, both of this ideas are nothing but theories, and that's quite nice, I mean, theories are actually quite fun to create and the fact that they can make perfect sense and be wrong or be ridiculous and be right is something that I love about theories.

Um, issue with your understanding of Mewtwo not recognizing Ash in the Genesect movie: THAT WAS AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT MEWTWO!!! LOL! They do actually address the movies in the anime like in the Master of Mirages episodes and, in the Arceus movie, they do talk about events in previous movies (Rise of Darkrai and Giratina and the Sky Warrior). They also actually reference the anime in the games (in the Delta episode (post game of ORAS) we actually get a reference to the character Alain from the anime). So, I consider the anime, movies, and games to be canon to each other. They probably take place in different AUs, but are canon to each other. Maybe I'm just a little more informed about Pokemon than you are, but the proof is there. You just need to look for it.
