Description This card was tricky to place, but I finally decided on Elaine Belloc, a character from the Lucifer comic books. I was originally inspired by the scene where she gets snared by a couple of demons who want to eat her, and strung up in a tree upside-down by her ankle, like so. What she ended up doing however was reversing the gravity so that she was right-side up and the demons had to hangonto the tree branches to keep from falling into the sky. I really liked that image.

I did a bit of research and it turns out that The Hanged Man is supposed to represent sacrifice, and Elaine also embodies that as well. In the comics (without ruining anything) she ends up assuming a role of authority that she never wanted and which places a tremendous burden on her. I thought she was the prefect character for card Twelve.
