this image is wonderful. its like a painting come to life. just marvelous. the model is obviously beautiful. the dress worn has my favorite colors. a woman can never go wrong with black and red. the books and roses are a nice touch... the mirror and lamp are fantastic. congrats go to the model and the photographer.

Thank you! This is my favorite shoot. I had a lot of fun planing this shoot out and getting everything together. The most important part is the photographer, because I knew he would be perfect for my concept. I am really happy you love it too!

wow. so it was a collaboration of ideas between you and the photographer? that's really cool... especially since nowadays (at least from what I've heard) that the concepts are all on the side of the photographer. if you had a hand on the imagery then you are very artistic. everything, to me at least, in this photo has symbolism. the mirror, books, roses, the colors... everything just comes together.

So I'm a literature buff, I believe in lots of symbolism and that everything in literature symbolizes something significant. When I create an image for a photo I want it to convey a secret message that possibly only some people may surmise. The photo was based on a Romanticism idea, when literature was very popular (and i love hard back books). The colors were of white for purity and innocence, the red for love or passion, and the black and forlorn or daydreaming looks to hint at what may happen in my next installment on this photo set. The woman has said good by to her lover because he has been called away from home, I actually based the whole scene on the love letters by Beethoven to a secret lover. "Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all" - Tennyson. The next set will be when the lover never comes home.... So hopefully soon this winter!! I wish I had the money to invest in more works like this! But outfit and props all together can be expensive.

wow. I am really interested in your ideas for the next shoot... it sounds like you are going for a short story of sorts... I can already see an image from the next set where perhaps you will already be showing some deep emotional dread or sadness upon realizing the lover will never return... I don't think I've ever seen anything like that demonstrated through photographs. hopefully it falls through for you otherwise us watchers will miss out on these amazing ideas you have going. I myself know what it is like to struggle for my art. oil paints and canvases are downright expensive. I've been thinking recently that todays art is only meant for the elite. anyways, I wanted to say that if you need a storyboard artist, I'm your dude. i'd be more than happy to lend a hand with sketching out images of what your possible shoots could be... kind of like concept art. thanks so much for sharing your thoughts. you are definitely the kind of person i'd love to hang out with and talk about books, music, art, films... all of the beautiful things in life worth living or dying for. keep up the great work and I look forward to your future endeavors.
