Philippine eagle (Pithecophaga jefferyi)Critically Endangered
Somewhat inspired by the tragic news of an individual shot dead after its release (it was previously rescued from a gunshot wound, healed, released and shot dead)
Also, I wanted to try painting on black paper and try a less "realistic" approach in painting the feathers.
Took around 3 hrs.
