This is just brilliant - I love the range of emotions but the one at the front is my favourite. it's like he/she's saying "Stop the madness!"

LOL. Thank-you! There's a bit of a story behind it actually. Basically Skylar, (in the front) had a death grip on Sol. So Sol started crying, Mom had a little laugh, and Sky was completely oblivious as to what was going on!

very nice work. ummm... i'm teaching myself photography... if you don't mind, how do you do the lighting in shots like this?

Yes, they're both hers... very close in age.
I don't have proper lights as of yet, so i used two halogen work lights set up in the back corner of the room. I put a white blanket in front of them, to help diffuse the light and because they are far too bright for babies to be looking directly into.
