Everyone wants to know what Louis looks like without makeup, yeah? Well, according to the man himself...

I wonder who the lucky dog is that's caused half of Louis' makeup to come off here..? *wink wonk*

So yeah, I fell in love with 's new project involving a flamboyantly gay French pirate, an astute English commodore, and a royally pissed Spanish power-monger, who are all at odds with each other in the world she's created for them. Captain Louis Despatis happens to be my favorite and I had an overwhelming urge to draw him. He knows how to charm people like that. (Since he's more casual here, I left "Captain" off the title. I'd like to think Louis allows a first name basis when it comes to first base~)

I wanted to draw his long twiggy legs, but once it got to the hair and hands he started to turn into a nice bust piece, so I left it at that.

All I can say is... coloring the hair was more fun than expected. I have no idea what was going through my mind with that background, though...
