Description Midori sputtered and spat as the tall yellow flowers her and her friends pushed through kept smacking her in the face. “I swear to Arceus these things are gonna make my allergies go insane.” With her was her friend she made at the pokemon school, Flannery, who had forgone her school girl outfit in favor of some blue jeans and a black top that showed off her midriff. Midori thought she looked like a rockstar, and Flannery was flattered. They group was searching for Nebby, who Lillie had lost in the meadow.

Lorelei the popplio was there, calling out Nebby's name in varying pitches, despite the fact they were following a trail. Shannon the zorua had disguised herself as Lorelei and was playfully mocking her to annoy their friends, but the Popplio was having a blast with it. Ramona the rockruff nervously peeked from behind Midori, quietly humming to herself as she glanced about. Floating behind the group was Shriek the gastly, hands in the pockets of her leather pants, looking uninterested in what was going on. And leading the group was Lumina the petilil, who skipped over to a hole in the wall big enough to crawl through. “Over here!”

Midori glanced at the hole and said, “This is where you saw Nebby go?”

“Yes, ma'am!” She got down and crawled in.

Everyone followed her one by one, and they found themselves in a cave. Ramona shivered, hugging herself and said, “Anyone else think it's cold in here?”

Her trainer frowned and said, “Come on, don't be so afraid, Ramona.”

Ramona scowled and stomped her foot. “I'm not scared! I'm cold!” She felt the cold, gross, and large tongue of Shriek slurp against the back of her neck, and she gave a shrill cry as she jumped away. “That's not funny!”

Shriek just laughed and wiped a tear from her eye. “You're right, it's hilarious! Don't mark the territory that is your pants now, scaredy puppy!”

The rockruff's cheeks puffed up, but then her ears perked. She sniffed at the air and turned around, seeing Nebby. She gasped and ran to her, skidding to a halt before her. “Nebby! Oh my gosh we were so worried about you and you were missing and we're so happy that we found you!” She panted and wagged her tail, but the Cosmog had a nervous expression. Looking behind her, she watched as two familiar and yet strange individuals walked up, seemingly having grey skin, purple hair, and almost space worth attire. Ramona stared at them with wide eyes, and then her mouth slowly opened to a strained whine, tears forming in her eyes. She burst out crying as she ran behind Midori screaming, “Stranger danger!”

As Midori attempted to console her, Flannery said, “You two again? You just seem to be everywhere, don't you?”

The man stroked his mustache and said, “Indeed, we do seem to keep bumping into one another, don't we? You appear to be familiar with this one.” He motioned to Nebby, who looked really nervous. “Perhaps it is time we properly introduced ourselves. Alola.” The two of them attempted the arm motion one does when greeting in Alola, but their movements were almost robotic. “My name is Phyco, and this is Soliera.”

The woman nodded and said, “We are trying to understand the pokemon of your world, as they are quite different from our own. We have even created a replica of the pokeball to practice the capturing mechanic.” She directed her gaze at Midori. “Trainer, would you engage in a battle with me?”

“The name is Midori,” she responded with a scowl. “And we're actually only here for Nebby.”

She walked towards the cosmog, but then a furfrou appeared in front of her. Soliera held an odd looking pokeball in her hand and said, “Then let me rephrase myself. You want this one? We have business with her as well. So if you want her back, you go through Rita.”

The furfrou woman saluted her, and then took a fighting stance, causing Midori to back away nervously. Shannon raspberried however and stepped forward. “This tall pile of fluff? Let me handle her guys.”

Rita's eye glinted, and she dashed forward, hands clenched together as she jabbed her elbow into the Zorua. She moved so fast, and hit so hard, she sent Shannon flying into the cave wall. Her disguise vanished and she hit the ground, unconcious. “Target neutralized, mistress Soliera.”

Midori looked at her fallen friend, and growled. “Lori!”

“Right!” The popplio was engulfed in water and shot forward with an aqua jet. “Stand back, everyone! I got-” Her fist met the furfrou's arm as she blocked the attack. She looked shockingly unfazed from the momentum built strike, and didn't even skid backwards a bit. Lorelei gasped loudly, lurching a bit as the canine punched her in the gut. She then reared back and slammed her forehead into the seal's face, making her hit the ground so hard she bounced. She coughed, blood trailing down her forehead as she looked back at the others. “Don't... fight her...”

Midori was frozen, staring in terror at how strong this furfrou was. “Stop it,” she heard, turning to see Ramona growling. “Stop  it! Stop hurting my friends!”

“Ramona, wait!” But it was too late, Midori couldn't stop her as she rushed the furfrou. She haphazardly swing punches at the woman, who dodged them with ease. She then lunged at her and bit her arm, chomping down hard.

The furfrou winced and lifted her arm, and Ramona off the ground. “Let go, little girl.” Ramona snarled at her. Rita then took a knee, draping her over her upturned thigh. “I said, let go.” She then began to smack at Ramona's short clad behind, giving the shocked rockruff a spanking. Her jaw clenched at first, but quickly opened as she began to howl and flail like a punished child.

Rita stood her up, and Ramona danced back to Midori sobbing and rubbing at her hind quarters. “I don't wanna fight anymore!” she cried.

Shriek casually floated past Midori and said, “Okay, looks like this one's up to me.” She winked at her trainer with a pair of finger guns, and then hovered before the furfrou. “Alright, you wanna go?” The furfrou leapt at her and threw a punch at her exposed gut, only to have her fist phase through her stomach. She scowled and slammed her forehead into her face, only to have it phase through as well. She stumbled back, shaking her head and blinking a bit. “Surprise! Normal and fighting type moves? Don't effect me.”

Rita growled and said, “I can see that. It appears I'm at a disadvantage.”

“Damn right you are. Now get a load of this! Nightshade!” She held her hand and a blast of ghostly aura engulfed Rita. The furfrou looked around nervously, but then grew confused and placed her hand on her hip as the aura faded. “Uh... I don't feel different. What did that do?”

Shriek pursed her lips and slowly turned back to Midori. “So, I think I just remembered? Normal and fighting moves don't effect me, but... ghost moves don't effect them either. And I don't really know any moves outside of ghost moves and hypnosis right now.”

Midori facepalmed and said, “The... put her to sleep or something!”

“Not so fast,” Rita stated, running back over. “I have identified a weakness!” Before they could react, she was behind Shriek, and gripped her pants. She then tugged them down, exposing her. “Corporeal clothing on an incorporeal being!”

Shriek covered herself with a squeak. “What the heck are you doing, you perv?!”

“And I do know a dark type move that should work!” Rita's hand glowed with a dark aura, which she smacked against the ghost girl's backside, leaving a painful looking palm print. “Punishment!”

Shriek howled and jumped forward, holding her rump. “What is it with this chick and discipline?! Ack, I give up, okay?! Give me back my pants!”

Rita tossed them on her face, receiving a muttered slew of curses from the girl. She then turned to Midori and said, “Is that all? Have I won?” Midori gulped and looked at a quivering Lumina. Rita followed her gaze and then cracked her knuckles. “This will be quick.”

As she approached, Lumina flailed her arms and said, “What do I do?! What do I do?! I'm not a fighter! I like tea parties, and reading books in the shade of trees! I've never fought anyone before!”

Midori scowled and said, “Then let me guide you! That's my job as a trainer! Do you trust me?!” Lumina trembled but nodded. “Good! Lumina, use leech seed! As much as you can around her!”

The petilil did as she was told, and Rita paused her movement as she noticed the ground covered in seeds. She looked around, taking a fighting stance, when they all began to sprout. Suddenly, leafy vines began to snag at her limbs, and then her torso, until suddenly she found herself tied up. She growled angrily, trying to flex free and biting at the vines. “Don't let her get free! Quick, put her to sleep!”

Lumina blasted the furfrou with some blue powder, and slowly her struggling faded, as well as her consciousness. As she snored, the vines glowed and a small green orb floated from her and into Lumina. “I... uh... did I win?”

Midori shook her head. “Not yet. She's not knocked out yet, just asleep, and she can snap back any moment and break free. Don't panic!” Lumina looked like she was about to but froze when told not to. “Don't wanna wake her. Do you know any moves that can actually count as an attack?”

“I know absorb, but, that's it! I can also grow bigger with growth?”

“That's it!” Midori shouted. “Her defense is clearly high, but growth will enhance your special attack so you can actually do something with absorb! While she's unconscious, grow bigger!”

Lumina nodded and began to grow, an aura building around her as she grew bigger and bigger in mass. After a long moment, Rita snapped to attention, waking up. She broke free of the vines, though several of them still clung around her limbs, glowing softly. “This fight isn't over, you tiny little plant!”

She blinked and slowly looked up at the now amazonian Petilil, who was pushing down her skirt with one hand to keep anyone from looking up it. “Y-Yes it IS!” She outstretched her freehand, and an aura engulfed Rita as she howled in pain. A stream of green light flowed from her into Lumina, her legs growing weak before she fell to the ground, eyes swirling.

Midori, Flannery, Ramona, and Shriek all cheered for her as she'd won the fight. “Way to go, Lumina! You did it!”

The petilil glanced at her glowing green hands and nodded. “I know someone who needs this more than me. My new friends!” She aimed her palms at Lorelei and Shannon, and the aura floated towards them, healing their wounds on contact as they opened their eyes and rubbed their heads. She shrank back down to her normal size with an exhausted sigh.

Soliera hunched over in loss, and walked over to her furfrou, gazing down at her. “I think I understand better now. Strong pokemon are not enough. Your bond with them is important, and you have to be able to guide them through their fights.” She looked at Midori and saluted her. “Thank you for this lesson. It was very educational.”

“Agreed,” Phyco said, stepping forward as well. “Apologies for roughing up you pokemon, but for now we will take out leave.” They gave them one last robotic Alola gesture, and Soliera returned Rita to her pokeball.

Without another word, the two walk away, and Nebby gave a thankful sigh. Flannery hugged her, and the two girls giggled, but Midori's team was less than thrilled right now. They looked upset, defeated in a way. Midori frowned and said, “She was a lot stronger than we expected. She took us by surprise. And you know what? Sometimes that happens. Sometimes we make mistakes, or go up against an opponent we're not ready for. But lets learn from this, not be distressed by it. In fact, I know what might cheer you all up.”

She leaned in close to Lorelei, giving her a light nudge. The Popplio looked confused, glancing at her, and then the others. Her eyes sparkled and she jumped to her feet. She then began to slap and drum at her belly in a beat that began to echo through the cavern. Everyone began to look confused, but then the tapping of Lumina's shoes added to the beat, as she danced up to her side, shaking her hips happily.

A hollow drumming joined in as if someone was hitting a coconut, and they noticed a random psyduck walk up drumming his own head with a derpy expression. A pair of delibird, three zubat, and a smoochum showed up as well, adding even more to the beat with makeshift instruments. Lorelei grinned at her friends and began to sing. The wild pokemon joined in as if they new the lyrics, and slowly, everyone's expressions brightened as they began to join in, dancing and singing. And soon, their loss didn't seem to matter quite as much anymore.

Awesome. I typically don't find many good Pokemon stories, but this is definitely one I'm excited to follow. Keep it up.

Nice expansion on that Furfrou battle; that thing was definitely tricky to take down that early in the games. In fact, there were a few battles like that early in the game: the Pokemon school teacher who has an elemental check to your starter, Ilima's Smeargle who has elemental checks to all of the starters, that Furfrou that you focused on with only a few options for team members in the beginning you really have to think about what you're doing.

I guess they listened to people who said the game was too easy and really gave us a challenge this second time around. Remember the totem Araquanid? I had the hardest time with that battle! @_@ I actually had to go out, change up half my pokemon, grind them stronger, and then go back.

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that; if you don't have a Flying or Electric type you are all kinds of screwed. And then there is that Totem Marowak that summons Salazzles...

Oh? Thanks for the heads up about what I'm gonna be up against next! Maybe I should look into all the totems this time around. >.>;

Oh, and something I discovered quite by accident, you can equip the same Z-Crystal to multiple Pokemon on your team; perfect for when two or more of your Pokemon have a move type that is highly effective against what your opponents have.

A Furfrou with a disciplinarian fighting style. I love it. X3

Got a lot of your girls' personalities showing in this one. From Shannon's confidence, to Ramona's protective nature of her friends, Shriek being "contradictory" as I like to say it, and so on.

Very great segment~

Thanks! I hope to show off even more of my various pokemon's personalities and some good fight scenes in future shots. ^w^

And hey, not my pokemon, but that Rita, am I right?
