The idea behind this pic and that Babs and her sister are the daughters of AJ's aunt and uncle Orange came from . ΒAs Babs left Ponyville after her first trip, she told Applejack "I promise to keep talking to my big sis about the teasing back home." Β Here we see her older sister Orange Slice confronting Ruby Barrette at a dirty Manehattan alleyway (because where else do you confront a school filly like that).
I'm really stoked about how this came out!

Really cool, but it's been said by show staff almost a year ago that Babs Seed isn't the daughter of Aunt and Uncle Orange, so far as the show staff themselves know. I doubt they would have changed their minds in the meantime, considering Babs won't appear in season four. Besides which, Babs seems more closely aligned to the Apples than to the Oranges.
Still, really great artwork! I like it a lot, especially the character design. Granted, that's pretty much all this pic is about, but it's done well. Although I wouldn't tend to put it in my headcanon, I like your idea of Babs' older sister Orange Slice.
