Imaginary description:
Goldfish mermaid don't move much, once they move, their motion is graceful and slow due their silky and uproportionally wide tail. They don't mind to be placed in a stuffy fishbowl, as long as there's water plants and regular foods. If they're bored and feel curiousity is tickling, they like to climb the edge of the fishbowl and popped up their tiny heads on the surface for a short time. They however, are extremely frail creature and easily died if not well taken care of. So, first-timer is not suggested to keep them as a first pet.

Idk, sudden inspiration.
I bet it would be wonderful to have goldfish mermaid as a pet. But it sure would be a difficult task to flush it down the toilet when it died
