I don't think anyone hates her. I think people hate the movie she was in. But personally I like how they handled the characters. I liked how Ariel had become wise and responsible after spending the first movie being a bubbly goofball and I liked to see how Melody was pretty much the opposite of Ariel in personality and I liked how their mother-daughter relationship was handled. But the problem is, like most Disney sequels face, that once they get into the story, the writers don't seem to know what to do next.
