Baby Toothless, so proud as he gets his very own first fish. It doesn't matter that his mother caught it for him because in his mind he thinks he is the very best hunter that ever prowled the streams. So instead of gobbling it down, he has to taste it first, his first solid taste, while his mother continues to fish for herself in the center of the lake, keeping ever the watchful eye on her fledgeling. Up until now, Toothless only had chunks his mother had broken down for him, whether by using her gullet as a hatchling or breaking off the bones so he wouldn't choke. Now was the day in his mind he felt like an adult dragon, even if that rite of passage really came when he could fly and shoot fire.

Have no clue what the canon of his origin is, as Toothless isn't quite as experienced at story telling as his rider. However, I figured this would be somewhat what it would be like for a baby dragon. I would expect Night Furies to only have one hatchling per brood, as many of the wild, swift breezes of death would annihilate the fish population, possibly a number of fauna and villages, and even rivaling or territorial dragon breeds. They could also nest like birds, with the mother rearing and the father gathering, but I think of this as Toothless' big first day out or something of that nature.

On another note, SO CYOOT. For my first time doing this dragon, I'm really happy with how he came out.

About 3 hrs from sketch to inks to recreating the lines on tablet to finish.
