Flash makes animation pretty easy, but it still needs help with a lot of the raster/canvas effects. I recommend using an ActionScript-powered camera tool. I did a quick search and found a forum post to get you started: [link]
The only issue is rendering to video can be quite difficult using a camera script/tool, and you may need to compile the swf and then record the video from the swf player. Still, it's pretty intuitive and saves a lot of time.
