Jason is a very straight-forward man who relies heavily on himself only and push on forward in life no matter what. He is a very determined young man who doesn't have his tongue in his pockets, and neither his fist! Slightly brutal and violent at times, he can also be a very competent student when necessary and a good friend to others as well as a protective big brother. Overly dedicated towards the people he trusts, it wouldn't be surprising to see him pick fights with people if he heard that they would have badmouthed his friends. It isn't a secret that Jason involves himself in delinquent activities outside of the school walls. The reasons for why he does that are quite personal, but not to be brushed off: he wants to save enough money to move out of home. Since a young age, he always wished he could escape the reality he was stuck with and he started doing small acts of intimidation and petty thievery early on. However, it doesn't mean that he isn't a good student within the school walls and he will study hard to get good grades, it is his only choice afterall. As such, he works pretty hard to achieve that and even plans on finding a job when he turn 16. Even though he is prompt to more violence and rash decisions at times, due to his short temper, he won't cause trouble within the school grounds. Jason doesn’t do violence because he enjoys it: it is only because it is necessary.

He also is quite blunt towards people and persistent in many aspects of his life, good or bad. The way he talks and act might sound pretty selfish, but he just doesn't like hiding things from others or lying. It's shown with how he talks and interacts with others and also the way he moves and gestures. It is pretty easy to read him, as he doesn't hide emotion, like an open book for all to see. We know when he is angry and we know when he is happy, no hidden feelings. Although, they may be seen through a slightly more aggressive perspective. Jason is also quite the stubborn guy when he makes up his mind about something. Changing his opinion might be tougher than moving a mountain unless he trust you enough.

Oh, another thing, he doesn't get scared easily. You'd literally have to be his parents for him to get scared about something. Which means that otherwise, he doesn't mind going against anyone. Even if he gets beaten up, he would get back up and try to get back at the other person until he can kick their butt. Jason is vindictive and quite the sore loser.

► History
Jason grew up in a ''nice and proper'' family. The typical perfect looking household where life was perfect and great and they are regarded as a model for everyone. However, if the sarcasm didn't make it obvious, it wasn't as it seemed. For most of his early childhood, his parents were extremely strict and demanding, but things were going alright by that point. He would need to be top of his class if he didn't want to be reprimanded but that was alright. He and his two younger sister would do their best daily, and he as the eldest, spent his time helping out his sisters with their work and everything. Barely had anytime to play at all, but it was ok he thought, it that was what everyone was doing, it was fine he thought.

Although, their life took a turn for the worst one day, when his dad came back home completely drunk after having gone missing for an entire day. His mother brushed it off when he asked her, and she left for work. That day, Jason had been alone at home, so when his dad came back home, went to see him, and for some reason that Jason can't recall properly, he got to ''eat dirt'' pretty badly. He only found out later that his mother was cheating on their dad and it was why their dad was getting more and more depressed by the day. Jason, learning about this, started to hate his mother just as much as his father. It was because of that woman that he ended up getting treated like such by his dad and having to endure such hardship. Plus, due to the stupid way his parents were thinking, he was forced to endure it no matter what, all because his parents couldn’t possibly break up by fear of being judged by others. To them, it was better to suffer in silence if it meant keeping appearance. Jason only had to deal with it.

In a way, Jason also accepted to take on the bad treatments at home, accepted being the black sheep, because it protected his 2 little sisters. They were raised amidst passive-aggressive behavior, but at least, he wouldn’t let his dad touch even one strand of hair on their heads and that was enough to keep him going for a while, to keep it all in and bottle it up. Shut up and take it as they say.

For two years, he tried to do his best, starting to wonder if they hated him after a while, seeing how it never ceased, this weekly treatment. Wondered if he, as a nine year old, did something wrong and that would explain why his parents behaved as such in the end. Bottling up the frustration and anger and sadness until one day, in school, he snapped at a kid and beat him up. It wasn’t too badly, since he was nine years old at the time, but it was somehow very... Liberating in a sense, not fun or agreeable, it wasn’t something he did out of pure enjoyment, but it was like a load had been taken off his shoulder for a brief moment. However, when he came back home that day, the news had reached his parents, and he felt it firsthand that his actions were frowned upon by his parents. He couldn't forget how good he felt after he had beaten up the kid, but it was not out of a sadistic need. It really was just stress relief for a kid his age, simple as that. Since this incident, he figured that beating up people was a little too direct and he had to find an alternative to vent the frustration he was bottling up from home even if sometimes it couldn't be avoided.

Eventually, his goal became to leave home as soon as possible or he felt as if he would be faced with a mental breakdown.

By the time he reached 12, he had made older friends that he would spend time with after school and would commit illegal things, albeit nothing big, but still. One day, one of his friend would tell him about how it was easy to save up money this way and would ask about it, thinking that it wouldn't be a bad idea to save up. Maybe he could leave home, right? If he had the means to leave home. At this time, all he had in mind was to leave home. But he feared his parents too much to directly defy them. He wouldn't defy them directly. He wouldn't run away, he wouldn't get low grades, he would look nice and proper for them, but in his free time he would do acts of illegal natures to save up. This was the only way for a kid who couldn't possibly find a job and work. He was too young to work and he couldn't tell people about his situation.

No, he couldn't. He was too scared to tell anyone about anything.

The day his parents registered him in St-Mortiel was a day he felt extremely happy. He would be allowed to live outside of home, away from his parents, away from the stress of a possible beating and everything else that went along with it. He was ecstatic. St. Mortiel was a well renowned school with a good name that would look good in front of the neighbors for his parents, and it was away from his home. He couldn't be happier than this.
