Yeah, it sucks Cartoon Network doesn't give a hoot about Looney Tunes anymore, and even Boomerang didn't feel like airing the new episodes very much after a while. Not to mention only a few people get Boomerang. No wonder the show wasn't renewed for a third season, and they are instead going with the new cartoonist-driven revival that's supposed to be distributed through multiple platforms at once.
I do find it interesting how this series had Porky Pig redesigned to look like his 1935-1937 self, not to mention bringing back the zany original Daffy Duck. It was a neat throwback.

Oh, no question.Β They completely blew it with their reboot Boomerang shows.Β I know it's all because they want kids using apps.Β I get that.Β But at multiple times CN/Boomerang has had that GAWD awful Baby Looney Tunes show rerun in the morning.Β Then, not looking a gift horse in the mouth, they had Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries on and off both channels.Β And I think that was the only time the US actually got to see the final episode of that series, almost 20 years later.Β But yeah, they had the new Tom and Jerry, Scooby-Doo, Wabbit, and Bunnicula on Saturday mornings for like 2 weeks before they walked that back.Β Heck, I can't even find New Looney Tunes pirated anywhere.

Bugs is like what he became in an episode of the Looney Tunes Show when he ate lots of Porky's butter treats, and in New Looney Tunes/Wabbit Porky is back to his original classic look from the black and white era before they slimmed him down today.

Yeah, I've seen that LTS segment used in a lot of the Big Chungus memes.Β Also, I have to admit, I'm surprised they made Porky fat like he was in a handful of older cartoons, but had Elmer Fudd his big head, small body self.Β I mean, they used fat Fudd in one episode of Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries (which was heavy on fanservice and Easter Eggs before that was the norm).Β Β That said, I wish they'd show NLT on a more consistent basis on Boomerang.Β Only time I've ever found it, and not just the Wabbit episodes that already aired was like at 1AM Christmas Eve and 5 AM this morning when I couldn't sleep.
