Well people are either going to get a fangasm or royally crap themselves at the sight of this bad boy and all it implies in orbit around earth..........
As for the background it does fit in quite nicely with Earth and Lunar together with the Super Star Destroyer, though something bothers me about the way the animation has been.....?rendered?....

Huh, interesting thought though I'm sure it's right. I've always imagined that the future of warfare was either digital or in space. Maybe once I fix my computer I'll re-render something like this. It just feels weird that my most popular render is probably my most simplistic.

A funny thing is how the size of the Executer has bean the subject of some debate lately. Originally, it was said to be 8000 meters in length, then the new Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels came out and increased its lenth to 17000 meters. I'm currently working on a flagship for my own little starfleet. It will be exactly 9600 meters long when it's finished.

Yeah, I always stuck with the origional length, it just seems more official (also more realistic).
8000 meters = 4 miles
17000 meters = 10 miles
Now, with a Star Destroyer being a mile long (1800 meters) and looking at the difference in size from this screen shot [link] you notice that the other star destroyer is about 1/4 of the SSD and it's farther away! Thus, I say that 4 miles is quite reasonable.

Well, given the size of it and it's ability to conduct orbital bombardments and troop deployments with weapons and shields far beyond our technological level I would say that the complete destruction of Earth would be a matter of days....
but wait! We could take one of the crashed TIE fighters, fix it up and plant a computer virus in their system and then blow it up with a nuke! Oh, wait, that was Independance Day....wrong movie...
P.S. Just finished my final render in my remake series of (Super) Star Destroyer and Earth and I'm uploading it tomorrow. Check back later.
