Soooo cute!It's my painted pony-man Sultan (age 35-40+) and his best friend Hooter (age 34)
I was playing with this lens that I rarely use, and getting all sorts of goofy shots where their heads are gigantic. Then they stood next to each other and said "cheese" and I'm sharing the cuteness with you (I have two other similar shots... Hooter has his tongue out in one, and Sultan's tongue is out in the other).
The perspective is SO off, lol
Hooter is much taller than Sultan. This freaky girl who should never EVER be allowed to operate a clipper or pull a mane has *shaved* Hooter in the most rediculous fashion. He looked like a poodle last week. Now, she's shaved his legs, done a botched trace clip, and she even shaved the underside of his face! It looks awful and poor Hooter looks like a drowned rat. She offered to do it to Sultan too. I quickly snubbed that idea.

lol, it was worse before... she shaved him down to his knees, then stopped, and the hair poofed out there and he looked like a poodle. I think they yelled at her or something because she went back and shaved them the rest of the way down after everyone was so outraged, lol

it's not HER horse. She just works there, and they had some hairy horses that were getting too sweaty as the weather's been warmer, so they had her trace clip a couple. Nah, this horse is owned by the people who own the stable. They let her pull a couple manes too and they are horrendous as well. She had her own horse, but sold it to the stable owners for use as a lesson horse because she couldn't afford it anymore. She used to whack his mane off with scissors *shudder*. They've had enough of it, though, and have started hiding the grooming tools so she can't find them. I think they just let me do it now, lol

lol. Oh I feel so much better knowing she doesnt own the horses she butchers. Why do people cut manes with scissors when they dont know the first thing about cutting hair? I could probably cut a mane with scissors and make it look decent (since I'm a stylist), but the whole point of pulling a mane is to shorten AND thin.
I guess in the grand scheme of things, it's better that the horses are cooler, if looking a bit crappier, than wooly and sweating.
And at least the owners have seen the error of their ways and are leaving the clipping to you.
