I wish the comics weren't rebooted and that Sally was kept in the show the whole time. I just love the 'opposites attract' couples (Sonic being reckless at times, adventurous but still loyal to others and Sally being the responsible, brainy and sweet girl). It's obvious the two are into each other, heck, during the season 2 finale of SatAm, Sonic felt he should take on Doomsday by himself, but Sally offers to with him on this essentially suicide mission, [Sonic used up his power rings, they only had one metal eating balloon and the explosion probably could have ended Sonic's life if he went in that direction] ("We are in this together, Sonic Hedgehog. However it ends."). Sonic accepts the help and even kisses her hand, which isn't a typical thing Sonic would do to another female character.Β

The entire "The Doomsday Project" episode is the most touching episode in the entire series. And the most memorable one for me. This single episode can just show everyone the special bond Sonic and Sally have together. Heck, that "You'll ALWAYS be my hero, Sonic Hedgehog." moment literally made me go "Aww!" How can you not like this? If it wasn't for Amy's popularity, pretty much all of us would ship and nerd over Sonally. I hope SEGA brings back Sally, she's a good and unique character. She has her flaws and strengths. She has everything a completely likeable character has.
There's also Salkhan, I personally don't like this couple for I just can't see Sally with other people. Yeah, there's Jeffrey, but I dunno. Salkhan just seems "odd" to me. I just like to see Khan as those characters Sally USED to date in the past for only a little amount of time and hopefully, not coming back to. Why can't we keep him as those characters? I mean he isn't really important to the story. I've kinda have been brainstorming over Salkhan for a while to understand this couple more. Maybe if it wasn't for the fandom, I'd like this couple as one of those "temporary couples that will never come back" couples. (Like Terra and Beastboy and Raven and Aqualad). Yeah, Sal could be Raven and Khan can be Aqualad, so they shouldn't stay permanent. Also since I've been seeing some people refer Sally as Khan's girlfriend as if it was always that, I completely respect their pairings but it just seems odd to me since I've always seen Sally as a love interest of Sonic. For the have a stronger bond, different personalities and better knowing of each other. Yeah, I think they should have been one of those couples that should have stuck like glue.

I totally agree with you. I really don't like SalKhan either. In fact, I don't get why the writers kept breaking up Sally and Sonic in the first place. Couldn't other characters date Amy, Mina, Fiona, Gefforey and Khan from the getgo?

I ship Knuckles with Amy, Gefforey with Miss Possum (from the AOSTH cartoon), Khan with Roxy Raccoon (also from the AOSTH cartoon) and I'm still trying to find a ship for Mina and Fiona. I think we could of all seen these love interest characters as their own character first. Then put them with someone. I know Sonic has a flirtatious personality, as shown in AOSTH and in the comics, but I think the comics have overdone it making the love interest look bad, along with causing the fandom to divide even more because of the way they portray pairings.
I think I'd probably love the couples more if it wasn't the way Archie did it. I'm kind of glad they rebooted the comics, giving a fresh new start. Even if Sonic and Sally are just friends now, there is still a possibility they can become a couple one again in the future. I've seen some cute fan designs of Sally's outfit for Sonic Boom.

I ship Knuckles and Julie Su myself. They were a couple that never broke up the day they got together (Curse Penders for getting rid of her, and curse Thrash!). Gefforey's with Hershley and Khan... yeah, Roxy could work. I also do Ash and Mina, and Fiona and Scrounge. With the exception of Khan x Roxy, they are all canon from the comics. As for Amy, I do her and Manic. Why? Well... crack shipping works here for me.
I hate the reboot, getting rid of well loved characters as I already mentioned with Julie Su, and well... things aren't the same. However, I do like how Shadow and Rouge are portrayed now, being anti heroes rather then bad guys.

Heh, well I ship Knuckles with 5 people but Amy is my favorite. I also ship Amy with Manic with Shadow. I also like Silvaze, Tailsmo, Tailey, Sonic x Perci/Breezie. I guess I ship the others you mentioned too, and yeah, I ship a lot. XD
In all honesty, I think Silvaze could share a strong friendship but at the same time they're a couple(like Alphys and Undyne). I see Tailsmo the same way as Silvaze, just Cosmo isn't alive so I see it as those "temporary yet memorable" relationships.
Since I like Knuxamy a little more than Knuxouge and Shadamy, I guess Shadow can stay with Rouge. But I see them having some sort of "Garnet and Pearl" relationship. In the Sonic Boom universe (which I theorize to be an alternate universe), Zoey can be Tail's little love interest. Perci can be Sonic's interest until Sally comes.
Since Breezie is a robot, I'd probably ship her with Metal Sonic since Sally's derobotocized. Sonouge is also an interesting couple, but I can only see them flirting. Manic and Rouge could be best friends because they're both theives, along with Manic and Mina because they're both rock musicians. Sonia and Knuckles were a favorite short couple of mine but I feel like shipping her with Bartlebee (he could possibly be related to Antoine). Bunny and Antoine are also a cute couple, Bunny is like Applejack and Antoine is like Rarity (I don't ship Rarijack, I'm just saying). Man, SEGA could of used all these pairings for their games, it's fun to see people's different types of relationships with eachother.
Just think, the Sonic fandom would at least be 30% calmer than it is now. It's like every single character has to be in a certain, clichΓ©, plot, role, relationship and category nowadays. Sometimes, when I make my characters clichΓ© I try to change them a bit so they can stand out more.

I can see Sonic and Rouge just flirting as well, nothing too serious. If anything, they are playing games with each other or trying to get on Knuckles' and Shadow's nerves because it's hinted Rouge has a crush on both of them too.
Silver and Blaze, yes,Β I agree. I see it as that couple that act like they are besties even though they are dating.
Tails and Cosmo's alright in my eyes, but Tails x Cream and Charmy x Cosmo all the way for me.
I like Knuckles x Rouge and Shadow x Amy (due to them both being ship teased at times in SA2 and Sonic X for the former and StH for the latter), butΒ I prefer Shadow x Rouge. Tails and Zooey I don't like together, Sonic and Perci I'm ok with.
Breezie x Metal Sonic. Nice, I like it. Manic and Rouge being friends is cool, I've also seen people ship them, but I don't know. Same with Manic and Mina, except, I find this one kinda cute. Sonia and Knuckles I did ship before I transferred to KnuxSu. I don't like Sonia and Bartlebee together for some reason. Antione and Bunnie's an OTP of mine.
I can totally understand that. It's quite a crazy fanbase we're in to say the least. But, it's kinda fun if you can stay away from shipping wars.

Yeah, I have a friend who ships Taiream and Charsmo. Both Tailsmo/Taiream and Chaream/Charsmo are OK. Not liking Bartlebee with Sonia and Tails with Zoey is understandable. Some people in thus fandom ship underrated ships because they think it makes them "cool". Some people ship overrated ships because they think it gives them more power over others.
Yeah, I don't think this fandom would ever calm down. Watch SEGA pull a new love interest and watch the fandom split more apart.

Why is Sonamy a thing?? I hate one sided shippings.. It's like fan girls end up dating their crush. How would that work out?? It would just be awkward.. Sonally should stop being hated. I like how they both admire eachother and some crazy fan isn't chasing Sonic around. And people also say Sonally is stupid because Sally's a squirrel which literally makes no sense. For God's sake Sonic x Elise is better than Sonic x Amy. The pairing just makes me cringe so much...
