So many artworks are tagged as "surreal" only because they look weird. Surrealism is a victim of his own success because a lot of artists identify to it even though they tend toward abstraction or else. This is true surrealism. For sure this painting reminds The persistence of memory. It is interesting how at first the birds look like they are flying away but when you take a closer look you see that they are going toward the watch. How did this picture come to your mind? Did you use a specific technique?
