I have seven main Danny Phantom OCs (most of the non-halfas), three Randy Cunningham OCs, and five Hetalia OCs

It's true. People do base and act mean to people with OCs because they don't understand why people would make OCs.
Not as many people as there used to be, but there are the few people who do.

nobody ever did that to me, and i was pretty active in many oc groups in the past and did a heck ton of fancharacters as well
not sure what kind of people you hang around to get such comments

More people like OCs than FCs.
Just because it didn't happen to you doesn't mean it doesn't happen at all, though
I don't have any screenshot evidence, but I know that most people are like "EW you have a Naruto OC?? That's stupid" or "Your Sonic FC sucks" but those are mainly just trolls. I think it's MOSTLY trolls that comment that sort of stuff.
