Honestly I had to force myself to watch some of it kind of.
I mean it has a lot stuff on war and stuff so all the parts where they
were all "OH NO THIS WAR IS SHIT WAHT WE DO". I just went all
"ugh great more talking chitty chatty I'm too lazy to understand this".
So I just drew some times without reading subtitles but just trying to listen
to the tones of the voices and shit.
But honestly the main character is so interesting that you're going to want to
stick around to watch more just for them I guess?
Some people all over the character like "oahh badass loli" but idk, I'm in it
for the psychological reason and alSO how the anime is not like "This dude is the hero, that dude is the badddd"
like there's no hero in this so I like thaT

One of my buds loves the romance genre so whenever she forces me to watch
some anime with her, I always end up cringing throughout the entire thing like
ugh I get it, it's for 10yos or smth but you don't gotta be so cringey jesus christ.
Youjo Senki's only cringey thing was probably the,, uh, "over acting"???
Like some scenes made me think all "wow, totally unnecessary but I'll let it
slide seeing how it was just 2 seconds of garbage" BUT I REALLy do dislike

ROMANCE ANIME IS 99.9% OF THE TIME THE ABSOLUTE WORST
American romance genre is bad enough but Japanese takes the cake.
Something about it is so scum of the earth I just I DON'T EVEN KNOW
There are good ones but they are a needle in a haystack
If it's a male protagonist, THEN EVERY FEMALE WANTS HIM or the "tsundere" very obviously is the love interest with predictable character development (well it's all predictable but especially that)
If it's a female THEN SHE IS STUPID and does impossible things for guys (Sailor Moon is the only exception to this Usagi is a precious bean, but then again it's not just romance in that anime) who most of the time don't even want her. It just feels so forced either way

Anime is mostly the same BS in a different boring skin (most, not all, because obviously I like some)
And the "art style" nowadays really bothers me LIKE A LOT
for instance, most "animation" is just 90% effects and half-assed animation that moves so fast you can't really tell what's going on, but it's implied to be "action"
Art style is not style at all and they all have the same proportions (aside from the every now and then boob size difference) they all look the same I MEAN REALLY THEY ALL LOOK LIKE CLONES HOW DO YOU TELL THE DIFFERENCE? YOU DON'T. And the bug eyes really bug me.. lmao pun
