Description
Classic story,checked my Tumbrl,saw people drawing Undertale characters as mermaids,had to try it.So i drew Uni as a mermaid(or a siren) since it seemed to fit them the best(i'll draw Hex,Cotton and maybe Tempus as some sort of mythical creatures as well,because it's fun ^^ )
Anyhow,hope you like this,took a while to get it done but i'm pretty happy with the result.

Onyx sighed as he leaned against the railing and looked up at the stars. He finally managed to get a break from his parents' constant nagging about finding a mate, but he felt bored even though he was getting to explore like he had wanted. The male skeleton stood up when he heard a low rumble and looked around. A storm was approaching the ship and the waves were starting to grow big. Deciding he should get to shelter, Onyx headed back inside. Half an hour later, then storm reached the ship and violently tossed it around. The male skeleton was helping the crew to secure the sails when a massive wave surged towards the ship and crashed into it. He was knocked over the railings and fell into the water. Onyx struggled to keep his head above water, but the waves kept pushing him under and soon he began to sink. He stared upwards as his vision turned black and lost consciousness.

"We really should go back."Bell said as he looked up at Uni,who was hiding behind a huge rock as they watched a ship float past them in the distance.
They paid him no mind as they watched the ship curiously,wondering where it was headed.
Whenever one of the people on the ship looked in their direction they hid back underwater,then came back to the surface after a moment and continued watching.
Uni looked up when they heard the storm approach the ship and frowned slightly,wondering if the people on it would be okay...
"Come on,we're gonna be late soon."Bell told them before he dived underwater.
They sighed and turned as they were about to follow after him,then stopped when they heard shouting and turned back towards the ship and saw it and the crew having trouble with the starting storm,so they dived underwater and swam after the ship.
Their eyes widened in fear when they saw one of the crew members fall into the water and start to sink,they quickly swam over and pulled the male skeleton back to the surface,checking to see if he was breathing...

Thankfully he was, but was completely unconscious.

"Thank the stars..."they thought,then looked up towards the ship and saw it was too far away from them at this point,so they turned and started pulling the unconcious skeleton towards the shore.

His clothes were a little torn and ragged by the time they reached the shore.

Once he was far enough from the water,they moved back and caught their breath,as they'd grown tired from dragging him.

I actually imagine Baku being like a Hippocampus instead of a fish.)
He was still unconscious as he lay there on the sand.

Uni looked over at him and moved closer again and quickly checked if he was breathing okay.

His breathing was slow, but steady, and he looked rather peaceful.

Uni sighed in relief and settled down.
They looked down at him and tilted their head slightly as they studied the unconcious skeleton's face.

The skeleton had sharp teeth like a shark, yet he didn't seem scary.

The mermaid hummed softly as they took in every little detail on the male skeleton's face,starting to wonder what color his eyes were..
Soon they moved back into the water when their tail started getting dry,but stayed close by to keep an eye on the unconcious skeleton.

A few minutes later, he slowly opened his eyes as someone's voice could be heard in the distance.
Onyx slowly sat up and groaned as he held his head, then looked up when he heard a familiar voice.

Hearing the voice,Uni quickly hid behind some huge rocks and peeked over them to see what was going on.

Another monster ran into view and quickly went over to the male skeleton, fussing over him. "Thank the stars you're alright Onyx. Your father'd have my head if anything bad happened to you." They said as they helped him to his feet.
Onyx stood up and stumbled a little as he looked out over the ocean with bright yellow eyes like the sun before being led away by the other monster.

They watched from behind the rocks as the two left and smiled a tiny bit,kinda hoping they'd see this 'Onyx' again.

Bell poked his head up beside them and narrowed his eyes. "Let's go before more of them come and they find us." He hissed.

They watched the two for a moment longer before turning to Bell and nodding.
"Alright..."

He nodded and dove back underwater.

Uni glanced back at the spot where Onyx had been earlier,before diving underwater as well and starting to follow Bell.

The next day, Onyx went back down to the shore and looked around, then sighed when he didn't see anything. He glanced back one last time before going back up.
Ink watched his eldest as they acted rather...strange.

They'd been dozing off more often than usual since they'd come back home last night,everytime someone asked if they were okay they'd just brush it off,but would be caught daydreaming again only minutes after.

Aina swam over to them and tilted her head. "You've got that look in your eyes again." She said.

The older skeleton blinked and looked down at her.
"What look?"

"That weird look you've had on your face all day." The girl replied.

"Oh...."they muttered and started dozing off again.

"There it is again!" Aina shouted. "You've been acting weird ever since this morning. And why were you late coming home last night?!" She asked as she pouted at them.

Uni jumped slightly,suprised by her sudden shouting.
"No reason..."they said.

The younger merskeleton narrowed her eyes.

"....Promise not to tell anyone?"they asked her.

Aina thought for a moment, then nodded.

Uni made sure no one was close enough to hear them before they spoke.
"..I went up to the surface last night and saved someone from drowing and brought him back to the shore."

Her eyes widened and stared at them in shock. "You went went to the surface? And made contact with a land dweller?"

They nodded slowly."Yes..."

"I just...got curious."The older skeleton said.

There was silence for a few more moments, then her eyes sparkled. "I wanna see it too! Please Big Sib? Please? Please? Please?" She begged.

They blinked,suprised by her sudden change of expression.
"Oh,um..sure i guess?"

She squealed and hugged them tightly. "You're the best big sibling ever!"

They chuckled and hugged her back,then glanced around.
"...We could go right now since Bell and father are distracted."

"Come on then."Uni said as they let go and started swimming in the opposite direction.

She quickly swam after them with a big smile on her face.

A while later,the two came up to the surface on the same shore where Uni had been last night and sat onto the rocks they'd hid behind and watched their little sister.

The little girl laughed as she splashed around.

They smiled and chuckled a bit as they watched her.
