There is to much pain in the world today.

Crime, disease, war, and famine they say.

Like blazing fire the pain it sears.

Causing saddness, anger, and far more tears.

Torture continues in the world so absurd.

Laughter is gone now only cries can be heard.

Its tragic how the maddness continues without relent.

Its even more horrible for all those innocent.

Suffer the sick, the hungry, and poor.

As well as the oppressed, the homeless, and sore.

All are subject to this global abuse.

The strong, the weak, and society's refuse.

Even the old endure the strain.

And the children live in realms of sorrow.

Each loses much with nothing to gain.

they each deserve a better tomorrow.

It hurts me so much to see them in despir.

While the rich carry on without a care.

No one tries to stem the tide.

To stop the senseless genocide.

Mercy it seems is in short supply.

And all who need it wonder why.

They need some hope for the chance to be free.

They need a simple display of humanity.

I suffer along with them this I say.

My world darkening in a depressing way.

My mind is stretched and my heart is sore.

Now i pray for the day when we suffer no more.
