Yeah the hair was inspired by another mermaid character from the manga "Jigoku Sensei Nube". I just loved the long fluffiness of it.
Definitely could see them of the same "mermaid group", maybe they're even sisters or just unknowingly of the same group but don't realize it thinking they're the only ones out there...then again Victoria (her name is Victoria, that's a recent thing) is weirdly human most of the time; she only really becomes super-busty and muscular (and a mermaid) in the water.
Love to do a collab (story/pics/whatev) someday if we can work on something with this.

Well a pod of the same mermaid genetics, what with their appearances and whatnot.
The only anime I can think of that probably goes into mermaids (though I've never seen it) is the magical girl anime "Mermaid Melody Pitchpitch Pitch", which essentially involves magical girl mermaids singing...cause that's what they tend to do. (well many stories do that; honestly my girl probably would sing terribly...)

Well my girl is at this point a girl who becomes a mermaid, thus she sort of is human...but its complicated.
And as I said: I doubt my mermaid singing would move anyone...maybe move them to run away but that's sort of a flaw I imagine her having if she did have sort of "magical siren powers"...then again when even Ariel has magical siren powers and she's a Danish creation (not a creation of the Greek myths that have sirens...)

Yeah in a way. I sort of imagined it a bit like Yuusuke in Yu Yu Hakusho: his family line is from a demon lord, but it just never awoken in anyone until him. Atevism is sort of like that but in this case...it's for a mermaid
