Description - UPDATE 1 -
New version here: (mike1967-now.deviantart.com/ar… )

A quick edit of my Cupman sprites. Not much changed, but I tried my best to best represent how he looks in-game. I couldn't find any footage of Mugman using super art 2 (the invincibility one), so much like a country girl I had to make do. If anyone can find any footage of Mugman using super art 2 for me, that'd be a great help. Do not steal! :J

Because I don't want anyone reuploading it and saying it's their own.

Look at the picture I gave you. ATM, it just looks like recolored cuphead.

Well given how small these sprites are, it's hard to make such subtle changes noticable.

Fair point. If it's based on nes, it makes sense for it to be simple palette swaps anyhow. Just look at luigi back then!

I believe Luigi didn't even have the luxury of different sprites until SMW on the All-Stars cart.

From there, the little green dude soon got a personality of his own, all leading up to his very own game, which some people consider a classic...

Yeah, I'm talking about MARIO IS MISSING BAYBEE Β  Β

I disagree. While Mario is Missing is a fine game, establishing many of the mechanics that we see in later enties in the Mario series, it lacks the charm and finesse that made those later games the classics we all know and love.
Mario's Early Years, on the other hand... TRUE mastapeece.

Yes, that is true, but the problem is, Mario is Missing is a epic trilogy, forming one huge masterpiece. So, there can only be one that can be truly considered the best. I choose Fun with Letters, but despite it's quality, it's hard to look at Mario's Early Years and NOT see how much more refined and polished Mario's Time Machine is.

Then by that logic Twilight must be movie of the goddamn century. You can't judge a game based on it's being part a trilogy, my dude.

I thought the projectiles had their own unique colors based on which one you were shooting?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

mike1967-now In reply to RGB64 [2017-10-19 04:30:05 +0000 UTC]

In the normal game they do, but due to NES limitations and the need to keep them distinct from eachother, they'd most likely share the colour of the player that's shooting them.
