Description Scientific Name: Carlito syrichta

Also called "Mawumag" in Cebuano and "Mago" in Waray, the Tarsier is the world's second smallest primate/monkey (with the first being the Pygmy Mouse Lemur) and they are species of Tarsier endemic in the Philippines, found mostly in Bohol but some are found in Samar, Leyte and Mindanao. They're insectivorous and nocturnal. Like I said which they're nocturnal, they mostly hunt for bugs by leaping from branch to branch in order to grab their prey. These tarsiers are considered endangered species. Also, Tarsiers are very sensitive as a single touch can lead it to have suicidal tendencies. Sometimes, they can be handled with care, especially the juveniles.
