so i've been obsessed with sci fi as of late.. and i want to make my next movie a good sci fi one.. and not silly actiony sci fi like star wars (as much as i love em), i want to make a really thought provoking, good story.. so i've been reading and watching a lot of sci fi stuff for inspiration.. the tone i want would be akin to 2001, solaris, blade runner.. classic stuff.. i'm just really struggling to come up with an awesome original concept.. everything i think of has already been done and exceptionally well.. my two main interests is the notion of God being another life form and sentience in robots.. but they've been done so many times before, i doubt i could add anything interesting to the category.. so the search continues.

also. if you're interested in thought provoking sci-fi, there's finally a new movie comin out this summer. it's called moon. looks friggin awesome, and just may add an original idea to the bunch. here's the trailer:
