Yes, it's a 3D image that you use red/cyan 3D glasses to view the 3D effect.
I convert the image into 3D using GIMP.

Does this mean that I can give it a go?

I'll be sure to give the appropriate credits and provide you a link so you can view the image once it's completed.
I may have some issues with "Daredevil's" red attire and my have to tone down the red for the effect to work well. Images that contain red tend to have reflective properties, which negates the red/cyan effect, or can creates a counterbalancing of color distorting anything that's red.
Other then this I don't see any other issue with converting the image as of yet.
I'll also let you know either way what the outcome is.

I do hope that you have a pair of red/cyan 3D glasses on hand, or you won't be able to view the 3D effect. If not, here's a way to obtain a free pair by mail...
