He takes great pride in his work, and is always eager to jump in and get the job done, as nothing beats this guy down. Though sometimes his enthusiasm and dedication can get the better of him, as he can be impulsive and stubborn at times, thinking he's got everything under control. One example being on his first day working with the Pack, he used to have a careless and over-eager habit of getting involved in a job that he was not supposed to be doing, but redeemed himself after helping a certain blue tank engine from a collapsing bridge. Since then, he has learned to focus on the work he's assigned, and leave the other jobs to his friends. But Jack is still a friend anybody could ask for, as he values teamwork and acceptance over anything, and he is also very brave and daring, especially when standing up to Max & Monty, when the duo are up to their usual devious and bullying antics. Jack always knows his place in the pack, and never hesitates to finish any task given to him, and can always help a friend in need.
