-Bio: Murdoch is a very large and powerful tender engine that is in charge of handling most of the heavy goods traffic on the Northwestern Railway. He is really hard to miss due to his strength and size. He is always happy to work and haul heavy goods trains, and because of his versatility, he can be found anywhere on the main line. Unlike other big engines, Murdoch is anything but boastful, as he is only happy to use his strength when helping other engines, and prefers to be very humble. He is a gentle giant who enjoys puffing along the peaceful countryside, and can often get annoyed if he doesn't get any peace and quiet, despite that on a industrial railway, there is always noise. In the end, he never hesitates to join in, as he despite his shyness, he enjoys the company of other the engines, and is very goods friends with mostly Henry, Arthur, Salty, Harvey, and Emily. Murdoch can always do whatever task the Fat Controller assigns him, and he can even put the Troublesome Trucks in their place by just being his usual polite and kind self, and can offer positive to any of the younger engines, but overall, he's grateful to be in service doing what does best, especially when it comes to peaceful and quiet runs along the main line.

-Artist's Commentary: I honestly love Murdoch, like seriously, he is freaking cool! Like I think that the 9F Class are just awesome in general with their strength, and having a 9F in Thomas the Tank Engine was a great idea. It was lucky this year I got to see Evening Star herself when I visited the National Railway Museum early this year.

Like Derek, Arthur, and a few other characters, Murdoch is so underrated, and I really think he would look awesome in CGI. He has a decent personality, even though the episode Peace & Quiet wasn't exactly that great, so I plan to do my own introduction to this character, Calebtrain did a great job with him in his series back in 2013, and he was voiced by jlouvier in his series, another great user. To be honest, Murdoch's role will pretty much be what Hiro's current role in the series is, so he will be in my own adaptations of "Henry's Hero" and "No More Mr. Nice Engine". Not that I have anything against Hiro, I'm more okay with him these days, plus, its really inaccurate to have a Japanese locomotive, not to sound racist, as Japan is awesome, like seriously, they are one of the best countries in the world, especially when it comes to technology, but I feel most Hiro's roles could've easily gone to Murdoch, but really I'm more used to Hiro. To sum it up, Murdoch will appear frequently to, and I just really think this guy is awesome, especially since his personality is a great contrast to the likes of the other big tender engines such as Gordon, Henry, James, and even Spencer. I don't know, maybe I should do a big 5 instead of three, with the other two being Murdoch & Emily.

So my design of course has got the proper brake pipe, and brighter colors, new cab and roof, as well as an edit on his face. Hope you like it, as I have decided to now delete my old ones too make way for my updated ones. Be sure to catch Murdoch in plenty of Engines Together stories, and up next is one more Season 7 character, and I think you night know who this one is, then after that, will take another break from standard gauge engines for a while too, maybe, I'll think about it.

Thomas the Tank Engine is owned by HIT Entertainment/Mattel.

Same here! Like said before, Murdoch could’ve easily been in Hiro’s roles. Like the appearances Hiro has could easily go to Murdoch.
