-Bio: Sir Robert Norramby is the current Earl of the Island of Sodor. He owns an Estate up at Ulstead Castle, which prior to reopening it, he had a dream of doing since he was a young boy to restore it as a museum an estate for many people to see, as he loves to entertain people with different surprises, as he is very knowledgeable about history, and the different artifacts he collect. In 1990, he got his chance when travelling the world for many years and finding many valuable artifacts that history had to offer, and even found Millie, Stephen, Glynn, Alice, Connor and Caitlin to work at the Estate Railway there. And in 2005, Ulfstead Castle was restored as an Estate Museum and Estate Railway for people all over the world to come and see. He is a very noble, kind and enthusiastic man, while a little eccentric, is always excited about every different surprise he has planned. He certainly is not in it for money, just for entertaining and educating people on the history of both the Island of Sodor, and the world. And being a long-time railway enthusiast, he is also a long-time friend and colleague of the current controller of the Northwestern Railway, Sir Stephen Topham Hatt III, and a very great friend too all the engines on Sodor, who really enjoy what the Earl has planned, especially if some of his plans also involve them. Being a railway controller, he is very proud of his engines, and always has fun with them, though he can be strict if they misbehave, he cares for them nonetheless, and the engines are proud to have him as their controller. The Earl is definitely a well-respected figure on Sodor who loves every good surprise around the corner, and always makes sure to keep every prized treasure from his travels safe and with the utmost care, and with the Earl, you never know what idea he's got in mind.

-Artist’s Commentary: Hello everybody! So here I got another human character I wanted to bring in for a while, and its none other than Sir Robert Norramby, the Earl of Sodor. I really wanted have him in Engines Together, as I love this guy, like seriously, without a doubt, he is easily one of the best human characters we've ever had in the Thomas the Tank Engine franchise. He's got the same amount of enthusiasm and eccentric nature as characters like Willy Wonka, Ms. Frizzle, and even Tigger from Winnie the Pooh, in that despite being a supporting character, he steals the show, and in fact, looking back on King of the Railway (2013), I always enjoyed seeing the Earl the most, and honestly, every time he's on-screen in the Brenner era, I always got that smile, because I know I'm going for a ride for whatever the Earl has planned.

Since I mentioned Tigger, when I first heard his voice by Mike Grady, I assumed that they got Jim Cummings to do the voice, but they didn't, and I guess this is because the current series has like a union kind of deal with voice actors, like in shows on like PBS, they don't have shows with voice actors like Jim Cummings, Rob Paulsen, Tress MacNeille, Kath Soucie, etc., but then again, I'm American, so I wouldn't know a lot about different British voice actors, but Mike Grady's performance as the Earl is so superb that it almost sounds like Cummings. Regardless, I definitely plan to have Sir Robert in my series, and nothing much about is all that different, he's still the loveable and enthusiastic Earl we all know and love, and he will definitely have plenty of surprises along the way in Engines Together. Oh, and I almost forgot, since he is the current grace of Duke, be sure to look out for an interaction between these two. Enjoy!

Thomas the Tank Engine is owned by HIT Entertainment/Mattel.
