Here it is, my (un)organised gamestation/workstation, and contains the following:PC:
*AMD Athlon 64 x2 3.15Ghz's each core

*Kingston 2Gb RAM 800Mhz's DDR2
*nVidia GeForce 9600GT 512Mb's DDR3 256-bit
*Maxtor 80Gb's HDD 7200RPM SATA2
*Maxtor 500Gb's HDD 7200RPM SATA2
*Lite-On Combo (Reads CD's, DVD's and burns CD's)
*Lite-On Writer (Burns all CD's and DVD's)
*Genius Sound Maker Value 5.1 sound system
Mouse:
*Logitech G5
*ZALMAN FPSGUN FG1000 (mouse for FPS games)
Mousepad:
*QCK Mousepad (regular)
Speakers:
*Logitech X-530 5.1 (sub is 25w, front are 2x7.4w, center is 15.5w, rear are 2x7.4w, w being Watts, total peak power is 140w)

Do you still have/use this system?
I use three Maxtor Diamondmax 10's in my rig still (yes, in 2016!) because WD gives me fits, and Seagate kind of scares me (well, everything post 7200.7 Barracuda does.) And, no thanks to two MSI boards biting the dust, I'm broke because I had to shell out the extra $$ for a decent ASUS board, so no SSDs for me for a while.
Maxtor seem picky about who they like and who they don't. For some bizarre reason, I lucked out with them, as did at least one of my friends.
Of course, I've seen lots of dead 'maxes too. The Diamondmax Plus 8 and virtually every MaxLine drive has been nothing but trouble for me.

BTW good call on running XP on your pc instead of Vista

With the exeption of the higher requirements to run it, and not being able to read doss vista is actualy a lot better than xp, much more user friendly and looks WAY better
