It's incredible to see this, really. Honestly I almost wish you'd submitted it sooner, but I think the timing in itself is important, especially in times like these when it's easy to lose faith in the world with all that's going on. Just an incredible reminder of the heart and will of human beings, and their ability to reach out to their fellow man. Bravo, absolutely amazing photo.

I don't know. i guess it's not beacuse of the picture's quality bu about the message it brings. when people see this kind of pictures, sometimes they bring hope back in their lifes. i hope at least one of us who saw this picturewill do the same in their future, if a bad thing will happen (hopefully not...)

Also, the point of photojournalism isn't necessarily to make something special visually. The point is to document an event with as much skill as is possible given the situation. If I were the GM, I probably would have thought something along the lines of, "Wow, this is a completely successful and touching piece of photojournalism. Good for them."

You know, actually i wasn't expecting to see this happening, because just like you - i didn't have a chance to see many acts of humanity in my life. this time i guess people just forgot about their pride and fear of dying and realised that their help is much anticipated. this moments indeed bring hope in our lifes
