Description
This image was inspired by the classic Greek myth of Medusa.Snakes are beautiful creatures, very elegant in poise and movement, slow and calculated. However some can also be toxic and deadly. Medusa needs to embody all of these traits.
I discovered that it's very easy to make the snake portion appear cumbersome, especially where it morphs into her human torso. The scales in particular were a big challenge.

Medusa doesn't get enough love in my opinion. This piece of her is stunningly gorgeous! I think you did a great job embodying all of the qualities you listed. I have to note as well that I like your different take on her "hair"; that the snake are long, straight, and sleek rather than curling and writhing every which way.

Wow, you definitely got the snake mood spot on! Because there is just so much of her snake body it appears to be very slow - but like you said, in that calculated and looming kind of way. I keep expecting to see a shimmer of scales as the muscle ripple in that slow-moving way snakes have! well done!
