Description
I used no reference on this; just drew from my own imagination using techniques from Burne Hogarth's books on anatomy. He even has a book on drawing dynamic hands. By 1998, I was able to draw independently of reference material, which I still can do today as in my work on Jud Nelson-Texas Ranger. Now there's nothing wrong with using reference, but if you're drawing on deadline, you draw smoother and faster on your own, plus your own individual style comes out better in your art.
